Shonn Greene expects to play against Giants

RB Shonn Greene, who missed Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a skin infection, says that he expects to play in the next preseason game against the New York Giants. He will also participate in practice later this afternoon.

Backup QB Mark Brunell missed this morning's walkthrough and most likely will be out again against the Giants. Brunell is nursing a calf injury. So, it looks like rookie QB Greg McElroy will see plenty of action once again. Although, as it usually happens in the third preseason game, the starters will most likely play deep into the 3rd quarter.

WR Derrick Mason participated in the walkthrough, but will most likely be limited in the afternoon practice session. Rookie WR Jeremy Kerley will take his place as #3 WR.

Meanwhile, the Jets released LS Wilson Rayner, OL Curtis Duron and LB Brandon Long.
