Training Camp

Jets to open camp on July 29

Admin - July 7, 2015

The New York Jets will begin their training camp on July 29 at their practice facility in Florham Park, NJ. Both rookies and veterans will report on that day. The first practice is typically scheduled on the first day after but we'll definitely know later this week when the Jets officially announce their training camp schedule.

The Gang Green will stay home for training camp for the first time since 2008, as Rex Ryan took them to Cortland, NY and away from their fan base all six seasons of his tenure. The Florham Park facility does not have bleachers but it's still better than a 4-hour drive to CUNY Cortland that only a handful of tri-state area Jets fan were able to make every summer.

The Jets have quite a few issues going into the camp:

1). The quarterback situation
2). Development of rookie DE Leonard Williams now that DT Sheldon Richardson is suspended for 4 games
3). Outside linebackers - Pace and Babin are old, while Coples hasn't exactly impressed yet
4). Offensive guard

With two months remaining until the start of regular season, the Jets are still ranked pretty low to win the Super Bowl. The current odds give them a 1.52% chance to go all the way, while the odds to win the AFC East are +900, the lowest among all teams in their division.
