We've been through this many times before, we've believed in this many times before and the Jets have failed just like this many times before. They did it again last night when in a must win game against the hated Patriots, they just failed to perform up to the level needed to be competitive. In the game that was expected to result in the shift of power in the AFC East, the crowned champ simply demolished the contender. Contrary to last week, when the Gang Green performed admirably against the Bills in every aspect of the game, this time they made crucial mistakes everywhere they could - offense, defense and special teams.

This was another must win for the Gang Green and they delivered again, overcoming an 11-point deficit and rediscovering their running game en route to a 27-21 win against the San Diego Chargers. WR Plaxico Burress also rediscovered his touchdown catching abilities, scoring three times for the second time in his career. RB Shonn Greene finally ran for over 100 yards and the defense finally looked like it should have all season.

The Jets had all of their starters, except for rookie DE Muhammad Wilkerson, sit out tonight's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as the coaching staff wanted to see their backups give it one last try to make the squad. QB Greg McElroy started the game and was expected to play at least three quarters but got sidelined with a thumb injury, which appeared to be rather serious. He will have an MRI tomorrow. While in the game, McElroy was just 3 of 6 for 29 yards.

The New York Jets have signed 4th round draft selection RB Joe McKnight to a 4-year deal worth around $2.36M. McKnight, 5'11", 194lbs, was selected 112th overall by the Jets in the April draft. He played in 36 games, including 13 starts, during his 3 seasons at USC.
The New York Jets selected CB Kyle Wilson from Boise State with their #29 overall selection in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Wilson, 5'10", 194 lbs, is one of the best cornerbacks in the Draft and is a nice addition to the strong Jets' secondary that already features CB Darrelle Revis and CB Antonio Cromartie.
