07 Scheduling

One thing I'd like to see, and it's been discussed here.....any opponent that is coming in to play both the Jets and the Giants at the Meadowlands next year (if any)....can their first visit be against us? One time? Is that asking too much? I swear, every year the team comes to play us after playing the G-Men either the week before two weeks before, as da Bears did last year. Let them be comfortable in the stadium against Big Blue, and not GangGreen.

Well, it HAS to happen at least once, then. The last time this occured was 2003 when both Buffalo and Miami played us before the Giants.......

 

I don't think it mkakes a difference either way especially w/ division teams that are used to coming up here.

As usual U R totally incorrect as I knew that the NYGs were the home team this time around since we were the home team last time around

 

OK that seems acceptable except that if the NY media is correct & the NYGs have such devoted fans the NYGs fans are chartering the new super big air bus so that they really make it a home game for Eli & company

 

It should be interesting to see if the rowdy soccer fans show up

 

Giants / Dolphins is on at 1:00pm on October 28th on CBS seeing as the Giants are the road team which means:

The Jets will be playing at 4:15ish on FOX or a night game on NBC or ESPN.. the NFL does not put the Jets & Giants back-to-back on the same Network. This means that it will either be Eagles or Redskins @ Jets at 4 on FOX (possibly a night game) or anybody else on the Jets' schedule for the night game if they choose to give the Jets a night game that week. Or of course we could be on our Bye Week.

You're right. The Giants-Dolphins game will be on FOX since the Giants are the 'road' team. The only time the Giants are on CBS is when they host an AFC team. Therefore, whoever the Jets play on 10/28 it will be a CBS game meaning it will not be the Redskins or Eagles......

 

Now that we are a playoff team again we might be on a prime time game that week, too, since the Giants game will command a lot of attention in the NY market for Sunday afternoon. That's also the time we usually get our bye week, so that's a possibility, too. But I don't see us on that Sunday afternoon because of the Giants game.

 

Yeah, you're probably right. I would rather the Jets have the bye about this point anyway.
