It seems crap writers like this guy just try to stir up crap. Three players out of 50 some odd players does not make that much noise. Coles is being worked out, I am not sure Baker deserves a new contract and Rhodes will be taken care of. I have not heard Rhodes make one complaint. I am certain a deal will be done for him. These writers have nothing better to do than start false rumors. Sad.
I hope you are kidding about the trade with cincy and heres a thought for the millionaire jets that are bitchin , win a couple more games so the front office doesnt have to overpay to get people to play for your team. NFL players do not live up the end end of their contracts more than any other sport... it's getting a little sad that we now see people sign deals and want more money after just one season into the contract. These guys should be lucky that teams can't renew contracts like they can in baseball. Baker should play this year and if he plays a lot better than what he's getting paid then pat him... Rhodes has already done it and will most likely see a big contract soon.
Because of the agreement that contracts aren't guaranteed - it goes both ways. It's no different than the owner who says - "you are underperforming, take a paycut or we will cut you". Really can't fault the players for using leverage when it is available to them. The argument that "you signed a contract - now live up to it" really doesn't apply in the NFL. Contracts really don't mean anything the way the system is designed.
I feel that Rhodes and Coles deserve new contracts and to get paid well. I agree that Baker needs to show more stuff this year before they satisfy him.
