You think shaken faith in Nugent had something to do w/ that? It was a 21 yd attempt, even the worst K will make that 99.99999999999% of the time. Anyway, hopefully we get another crack at them next week.
You gotta admit in the dome the odds would be stacked against the Jets so much. The Jets had to do alot of trickery the 1st meeting to keep it a game and had some huge plays, in the dome the Colts are just a different team and a team I would not like to face. And the 4th down was not stupid, the call of a playaction was, i'll give you that. But going for it was the right move, you have to score touchdowns against the Colts, Field Goals don't do much of anything. The Jets don't have the horses to run with the Colts, no pun intended.
The one huge thing we have going in our favor is the fact that our coaching staff is light years better than the Colts. I'm confident that we will be better prepared, hopefully that will be enough in the end.
Going for it was definitely stupid and the playcalling was even worse. We ran it 1st, 2nd AND 3rd down tos et up that 4th and G. It was a tie game at home late int he 3rd- you have to kick the FG. We'll be big underdogs whether it's NE or Indy but I feel better about facing Indy- they are struggling and a little banged up. Chad will eat up that secondary in the Dome and it is january so that means peyton won't be regular season Peyton.
