The Lions looked pretty damn good. If Stafford doesn't Pennington his shoulder again, they are going to push for a wildcard spot. I'll have to say I'm jealous of the push they get from the d-line. I'm interested to see how they fare in rougher outdoor conditions as it gets later in the year.
Even as a fellow Pats fan, I think you're stretching it here. They showed up to play... they just got their asses kicked. I think Detroit was still pissed off about getting embarrassed in the second half of the Thanksgiving game and put a lot of effort into preparation and - more importantly - on the field. You started with a valid point about the defense coming out in more of a pure 3-4 alignment. I don't know if Belichick was mixing and matching or if he just didn't have the personnel to run the new-look stuff. But penalties? C'mon. They were just plain awful. They didn't block, Brady was pretty bad, they didn't play defense, and they just got whupped. Leave it at that and move on, and just be thankful it still doesn't count!
After Brady throws his 3rd TD he's going to point to the Dolfags sideline, pull down his pants, flick the clit, and splooge all over the field. The sickest part is the Dolfags fans will love every second of it.
I recorded the game from NFL Network overnight just so I can see New England get their asses kicked. :up:
