That wouldn't even be fair. So much so, it probably wouldn't be allowed. Unless Rodgers and Gronk played defense........by themselves.
Brees is literally the only reason NO is still alive. He is damn impressive himself. Rodgers may be beastly, but Brees is sticking with him throw for throw right now.
I remember feeling sorry for Aaron Rodgers when he sat around in the green room for what seemed like an eternity during the two thousand and whatever draft. In a way, it's almost worse than Tom Brady going in the 6th round. No one was calling Tom Brady a first round QB, but Rodgers had to sit and watch while ESPN talked about how most of the league WASN'T picking him. The only bigger indignity would have been if Jason Campbell went before him.
Brees is just as good as Rodgers, he just doesn't have as good a defense...Do we not remember that before Rodgers was SB MVP, a Mr. Brees held that position?
The Saints cornerbacks are not playing with the right mentality right now...when you're playing against a QB as good as Rodgers, you absolutely HAVE to upset the timing by being physical at the line. You need to compensate for the fact that you're not going to be giving Rodgers a real hard time at the point of attack by giving the receivers a hard time. They're lining up like 7-8 yards off right now.
Brees really needs some help out there... the only guys making plays are ingram and sproles. Hey A-Rod can you hit Finley for a TD this time please?
