Im not saying its not a penalty. You obviously cant smack heads, but it looked like he was leading with his right shoulder to a reciever who was perpendicular to him. Because of maclins position it seemed like it was understandable that he hit him helmet to helmet. The play was no where near as malicious in my opinion
oh look, now dunta robinson is trying to fight people. if goodell dosent suspend this retard, goodell needs to resign.
your opinion is wrong and you should be ashamed. maclin had time to see and prepare himself for the dirty hit. dunta did not because he had put his head down and leap at him.
Go to the 38 second mark. Again I still think it deserved a penalty but, that hit was not as malicious as the first one.
I don't think you have to worry about Robinson not being suspended. Goodell has suspended players many times for less. Repeat offender, spearing. Suspension+fine.
lowering the helmet and leaping into the hit is a huge problem. no one else seems to have that issue except for dunta. why is this a difficult thing for you?
There is no understandable helmet-to-helmet contact with that play. Maclin was in a defenseless position. Robinson lowered his helmet to launch at a defenseless receiver. Even if Robinson is not trying to hit helmet-to-helmet, it's still an illegal play and he's still an asshole. How do you not get this?
meaning, if someone's arm is hit while throwing a shovel pass and its incomplete how can you tell the difference, between the two.
One is a pass and the other is a fumble. The fact that a QB throws a pass underhanded is irrelevant - if it is a deliberate forward pass and it hits the ground, it's an incomplete pass.
