When it happened I knew what the call was but after seeing the replay, it didn't look as bad as when it happened. So, maybe the ump had the same view and in realtime from his angle it looked to be in the back but honestly, that was more from the side but his right hand looked to be on/behind his back. Either way a bone head play, no reason to even touch the slowest dude on the field that was 15 yards behind...lmao. Sidenote, the Ump (#53) has seemingly been throwing a majority of the flags today..... hmmmm
Too bad he's rarely healthy. I think that Stafford can be an elite QB in this league, but he's not there yet. He's got all the physical tools, he's been a great on field leader since his college days, and he's surrounded by some great players on that offense. He just needs to stay on the field and cut out the gunslinger crap that gets him in trouble sometimes.
Fucking Bills up 17-3......stupid fuck Dalton threw a pick with 1 min left in the 2nd quarter which set up a TD AHHHHHH
I'm glad that Hasselbeck is having one last successful year--I always thought that he was one of the most underrated players in the league during his prime with Seattle, and his legacy would be completely different if the refs didn't go out of their way to deliver Super Bowl XL to the Steelers (by the way, did you guys know that Jerome Bettis is in fact from Detroit, the very city that the game was played in???)
I'm sick of people discounting him because of his past injuries. Apart from this game, he has been playing like an elite QB. I'm not saying he's there yet because you have to play at an elite level consistently for about three years before you can be considered among the class of elite QBs in this league, in my opinion.
Which is exactly why I said that he can be an elite QB in this league and then complimented him profusely in the sentence that you chose not to quote.
lol Newton is going to be very good. Figured they'd be a 7-9 team this year, but they might be better than that. They might give Houston a real battle in the South. Tennessee at Houston in Week 17 could be big. Jeff Fisher was there too long and the QB play last year was not good. The stats looked okay, but Collins and Young didn't pass the eyeball test last year. Just having a new head coach and a new QB is making a big difference. The team still has a bunch of good players on defense.
Holy shit! That is amazing. That must have been a real thrill for him to win a Super Bowl in his home town.
Roethlisberger didn't have great awareness when he got the shit knocked out of him by a free blitzer earlier in the game, but to each his own I guess, Dierdorf.
