OK, then stop looking at what helps us to get a wild card spot and look at what helps our seeding as a division winner. Given that you start with the assumption that we are fighting for a wild card it looks like defeatism.
I was looking at it more as a "we already lost to the Ravens" thing and a "we haven't played the Steelers" thing as opposed to whether we'd be a wild card team or a divisional winner. I know we have 3 conference losses already, so I figured being even with the Steelers would be better.
We don't play the Steelers this year. It would be possible to beat them on other tie-breakers for seeding.
That was my point. No matter what the other records are for the Ravens (i.e. conference record) we still lose a tiebreaker to them. The Steelers, I figure if we have the same record as them, then we got them on conference record, at least, maybe. I can see the Steelers being more successful than the Ravens for the rest of season, just a gut feeling, and (despite tonight) a hunch about their QBs.
The only thing that's going to suck about this week is that Giants fans are going to start acting like their team is the best (they already have). Bleh, I hope they lose every game for the rest of the way.
People have been sleeping on the Bears all season. They've got so much talent on defense and Forte's a warrior, they'd be a real contender if they ever figure out how to protect Cutler.
so is this another game where Vick gets taken out then put back in...? Surprised this dude is still able to walk with all the hits he takes a game.
