I think you take Reuben Bain with the no.3 overall pick, we would have a beast off the edge for the first time in forever.

Could probably get Mendoza with the Colts pick, its worth sweating it out IMO

Mendoza, Moore and probably Simpson are all gone by the Colts pick, probably all gone by the 5th pick. QBs will be drafted at a premium as usual. If Moore and Mendoza are gone and we don't trade up I wouldn't hate Bain at 3.

You could be right but every year QBs shoot up the board and get taken top 5 deserving or not, especially after dart slid last year.

Jets trade 1st and 2nd round picks in 2026 and 1st round pick in 2027 to Baltimore for Lamar Jackson.

    --

Baltimore gets Moore with our pick. And we still have a regular stable of 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks to put around Jackson. Take a WR with the Colts pick and this offense would be.. dare I say.. good...

Lamar Jackson, Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Makai Lemon, Mason Taylor and the young, but skilled, offensive line

Jets trade back from 3, gather more picks and sign FA QB. Jets draft FQB in '27 with a better roster in place.

Not happening. Mendoza has a bigger frame, better physical Qb traits vs Dart and "better" stats to back it up.

Much will be talked about as the draft approaches how Moore is the higher ceiling prospect and the Raiders are targeting him.

In the end, Mendoza goes 1 to the Raiders and the Jets get spooked and trade up to 2 with the Giants, giving up this years 2nd round pick.

Wouldn't hate Bain, I like him a lot. Mendoza is currently the favorite to go #1 overall though - he'd have to tear his achilles tomorrow to be available at the Colts pick.

So if Giants are willing to make a trade with us then doesn’t that tell you they aren’t picking a QB? You think more picks entices them to pass on a QB the love so much over dart to trade it to us? No reason to move up let the board fall as it will. Draft BPA if one of the two QBs aren’t there and build a team around that. Can take QB in 27 with a much bigger and deeper class

The problem is that someone might jump us and trade with the Giants. When you see teams move up one spot, that's the reason why. If Giants wanted a QB, they would not be trading down. It might depend on who are non QBs available. If there is a consensus top guy, maybe Reese is clearly better than any other non QB, maybe the Giants would not trade down. But if there are 2-3 guys there that are in similar tier... We might need to give the Giants something to move up to #2 and stop someone else from jumping us. This is assuming Moore declares and this is a 2 QB draft. If Moore does not declare, the point is moot. In that case Mendoza is the only guy and the Raiders are getting him.

This is my dream but from #2 heh. I think I would rather trade 3 first rounders for Burrow.

If we trade out of number two we could end up with six maybe seven first rounders in the next two years, lol.

Realistically though we have five now so if we trade back we probably pick up one extra first round pick next year.

I wonder which team, if any, have two first rounders or more in 2027.

Only us to my knowledge. The Cowboys were the only other team but they traded the better of their pick vs. the Packers pick from the Micah trade to us.

So the most likely scenario if we trade back out of 2/3 to say 11/12 we end up with 6 first rounders in 2 years. We most definitely should use 3 of those for Burrow.

I think mendoza is overhyped. Seems like a good kid, but that doesn’t win you football games.

He could fall when it’s all said and done and that Bama defense is licking their chops right now

let’s see what people are projecting after these games are played and when he works out for teams

Can we just punt on taking a QB this year and go all-in on the 2026 tank for Arch Manning? Finally starting to live up to his hype and should be even better next year.

Don't really know if he is overhyped or not BN but I am not impressed with him either. First off, I am not a college football follower. This year, son was admitted to Vandy as a transfer student from Rutgers which peaked my interest into SEC football and living in Indiana whole year this year allowed me to watch a lot of Indiana games as well. He is OK in my book but he didn't impress me the way Jayden Daniels or Patrick Mahomes impressed me for example. I feel like he will be an adequate QB for the NFL but won't be at a Tier 1 level. At most. he will be a Tier 2.

I only watched Moore in 2 games and he didn't impress me either. Due to my peaked interest in SEC, I ended up watching Ty Simpson as well and he also didn't impress me.

Again, I am not a football guru. I am just an average fan who doesn't know X's and O's much. My dream scenario is to address QB position through free agency or a veteran trade and trade down from #2 or #3. I have zero faith in Glenn and I want to punt the decision into 2027 for the new Head Coach.

if we end up picking 3rd and trade up to 2 and give away any of our draft picks, I will be mad. My 2 cents before I start drinking. :)

I am not impressed with the Indiana kid either that’s why I’m ok with BPA and punting into next year. Lot more options if we can’t get Moore. We can focus on D then trade or pickup a vet to at least play decent ball. Someone who can actually throw the ball for 150 yards a game. Crazy that’s the guideline cause we saw Fields throwing for 40/50 yards and looking like a lost cause
