3 points by the skins came on a muffed punt return and was turned over. Should that mean those 3 extra don't count for the skins either? So the score was really 27-16. By the 34 points not really being "indicative" of how the Skins D played, does that mean the Ravens actually lost to the Jets? Cause their offense only put up 13 points. Or does out special teams TD that day not count either? Did the Jets beat the Pats in the playoffs 28-14 or 28-21? I'm just trying to find the proper standard by which everyone (not just DaddyRevis) is measuring the game by. The final score is the final score, no matter how it got that way. The Jets put up 34 points on the Skins D. As other players have said before - you don't want the score run up on you - stop em.
And he doesn't fumble! Let's use him on punt returns, too! Seriously, yes, the score was 34-19. Obviously. But noting the final score and how we played are two completely different things. With less than 5 minutes left in the game, we were losing to the Redskins with our season on the line. The last 5 minutes, we played great football and closed out the game. But here are the drives for the game, excluding 2 drives where we just took a knee. (NYJ 26) 17 plays, 74 yards, TD - Awesome drive to start the game. (NYJ 8) 3 plays, 4 yards, punt - 3 and out (NYJ 16) 10 plays, 57 yards, field goal - Good drive (NYJ 10) 3 plays, -4 yards, punt - 3 and out to start 2nd half (NYJ 18) 3 plays, 7 yards, punt - 3 and out (WAS 47) 7 plays, 14 yards, FG - Scored points, but squandered great field position (WAS 29) 4 plays, 7 yards, Missed FG - 3 and out, squandered great field position, no points from the 29 (NYJ 23) 5 plays, 5 yards, punt - Might as well be a 3 and out (NYJ 11) 3 plays, 9 yards, punt - 4th drive of less than 10 yards in a row (NYJ 49) 5 plays, 51 yards, TD - Great field position, great play to Holmes to tie (WAS 9) 2 plays, 9 yards, TD - Greene pounds in a TD from the 9 (WAS 25) 1 play, 25 yards, TD - Game all but over at that point then Greene puts a stamp on it Is it any coincidence that the drives with our 4 best field positions led to touchdowns? No. The biggest problem is that 6 of the 11 drives ended up in less than 10 yards (excluding the 9-yd TD drive). That happens far too often. I love that the offense made plays, but let's not make it like we've solved our problems because we scored 34 points. Yes, Washington is a good defense. But they're still a 4-8 team, we had to beat them.
Why are you putting words in my mouth. I'm not saying the Redskins deserved to win. Im saying their DEFENSE played better. Not the Redskins their fucking defense why are people failing to grasp this. I would say the Ravens offense did not play well in the game against us but their defense played amazing. Is this hard to understand?
