good lord, you get one damn bone headed reporter write some fluffy bs about the jet's, and he gets most of you turkeys whacking it to a climax. all form a circle now and give one another a helping hand, why don't you...lol
You guys need to look at the comments to see how people really feel about putting the jets that high. Some of there rebuttals were pretty good; I didn't know that we only had 1 win against a team the finished with a winning record. I'm an optimist, but fact is until we become an elite team it is hard to consistently beat premier teams, and if our record vs. teams with winning records last season is any indication, we have our work cut out for us this season. Mosley clearly isn't factoring in the difficulty of our schedule.
we do not even know who will be on our OL or who our NT will be. IMO it is too premature to predict a record without answers to those questions!
Every team has question marks, creating offseason power ratings will never be an exact science. And what makes you think Robertson won't start at NT with Pouha (hopefully) playing some snaps? The Oline is 4/5's more or less in order with Adrien Clarke having the best chance at being our LG. As far as who we will have at our positions we are better then most teams I would imagine. NOW the true question is how well the people at those positions perform. To contend with the schedule we have, alot of things have to go our way. 1)Must stay relatively injury free 2)All young players (Vilma, Rhodes, Dbrick, Mangold, Leon, Brad...etc...) need to improve 3)Chad needs to have a great, not good, year. 4)Our 2 rookies need to make immediate positive contributions to the team
Give it another month and we'll be knee-deep in meaningless power rankings. Tis the season for zero football headlines.
christ, that's a lot of if's!!! same could be said about the texans, titans, browns and all the other wannebe's. if this player or that player steps up. fact is, the jet's ARE rebuilding and have a way's to go yet. all these article's that hype this team, is just that, hype!! the fact that the jet's only beat one team with a winning record goes a long way toward telling how far this team still has to go. last years record was b/c of a cream puff schedule, like to admit it or not, it was all of that. this upcoming schedule will bring the jet fans back to reallity. we most likely will be a better team but with a worse record. still a couple of years to go before this team is ready to take on the big boy's of the league, if we ever even in fact get there...
