    Posada, actually.

Montero is DHing and they would've lost the DH I believe had Montero shifted to catcher.

Cervelli of course is still having headaches.

Yep. Posada's in there, and throws out Kendrick. Bad throw, but a terrible jump by Kendrick.

Angels teeing off on Noesi in the 7th. 5-0.

He threw 32 pitches and got 2 outs. Girardi pulling him after a two run homer followed by a double.

This is pretty much what I was saying the other day. Why not give some guys some true rest, especially when you don't play like you have to win anyway.

I disagree with you here Don. I liked Kennedy, and wasn't enthusiatic about trading him, but there's no way he would pitch the way he is out west in the National League over here in the AL East.

Buster Olney reported this weekend that rival evaluators believe ARod, Swisher and Martin will all be unhealthy the rest of the season, regardless of how long it lasts. Those same scouts believe Brett Gardner is completely exhausted.

None of those things is very good news.

I don't think it's coincidental that Romine got promoted twice over the course of less than a month. I think Cervelli is done after showing signs of post-concussive syndrome again. If Martin, Cervelli or both can't go, Montero and Romine will be the ones we rely on. I can't see Posada getting a start in October behind the plate.

Speaking of Montero, he's never going to catch breaking balls if he doesn't change his crouch. He needs to use a traditional crouch. Sure, it'll be harder to throw guys out, but at least he'd have the horizontal mobility. Speaking as a tall catcher, I can say he'll never be able to get down on balls in the dirt with consistency like that. I cringe at the thought of him catching AJ.

They willingly gave up the DH to assure that Eduardo NunEz couldn't lose another game for them yesterday.
    -----------

Speaking of yesterday, how about that awesome performance by Garcia? That's two in a row.
