You think Ewbank didn't know that Namath wasn't singing in the Church choir on Saturday nights before the game?

No. Namath was notorious for showing up still drunk and hung over (Ken Stabler, too), but not sure how that excuses Fat Bill for being a hypocrite.

Browns take Darnold, someone moves up and takes Rosen. We take Mayfield.

What a kick in the nuts that would be.

Bill got rid of those dreadful Green helmets. That papers over a lot of hypocrisy.

On a good day! Papers over! Like lining a chicken coop to soak up guano and re-sell it! Is Roger Vick still alive?

He was the only fullback drafted and we took him in the first round. I think Walton wanted to install the T formation to spice things up.

You know I like Baker ..

But I am nervous how Mayock Bucky Brooks and D Jeremiah ALL have Allen rated over him..one of them rated Allen better than Rosen!!

My head aches from this already

So I told myself this: You started out really Liking Darnold then the fumble interception issue changed my mind

Then I got on BM bandwagon ..I am still there but these mocks rate him pretty low..I think Rosen is in trouble too
Are GMs gonna hand JRosen a. multimillion rookie contract ?? then after the First NFL concussion his Ivy League parents suggest he get out and take the guaranteed money with him..just saying this decision for Rosen Allen or Mayfield is giving me second thoughts who is safer better...I just don’t know at this point (sigh)

You quoted me before I finished. Damn it.

Spice things up. Spice things up? To me, the Spice Girls will always be better than the Jets, even when they fake it!

Biggs thanks for the BAD memories,,,lol-------I was in HS when we took Lam Jones---I remember it vividly, back then there was no internet or updates what you had to do was tell the teacher you were going to the mens room, go down to the lobby and I don't remember is it was WFAN or Espn or someone else but you called a number got a recording and got updates on the draft. My buddy walks back into class ,, I say did we pick he says we took Johnny Lam Jones and I was like whhhhaaattttttt ? There were so many bad draft day picks its astounding, Blair Thomas, Gholston,,,,,its a big list but another is when we took Kyle Brady over Sapp, I was at the Allstar Cafe in NYC, I think its now the Espn Zone at a NY Jet sanctioned draft party with a bunch of friends and having a beer with Glenn Foley at the bar-----then we passed on Sapp,,,priceless !!!

No doubt although because Elway said he wouldn't play for the Colts they may have drafted Marino with the first pick if it wasn't for the rumors? Elway at the time was like Andrew Luck. Absolute lock 1st pick.

Its going to get alot more crazy this next month before the draft. If Allen is moving up who's to say Cleveland doesn't bite and make him the overall pick. I'm still on the Chosen Rosen train but if Darnold slips to 3 I won't be mad. I'm not an Allen fan under any circumstances but if he's there I bet Macc picks him because he like big armed morons...see Hackenberg.

Yeah he made the Jets pay for not taking him and instead taking O'Brien. I agree he was a constant dagger to the Jets but you got to respect how he played the position. The fake spike still boils my blood but it was brilliant.

WB, something has to be dead to become a ghost, doesn't it?

Don't let a few accidental forays into median success fool you, there's no spectre of failure roaming the halls, just a very real lumbering green beast that can't help stepping into its own road apples.

    That beast is Woody Johnson.

Haven't you ever read Philip K. Dick?

He has a Woody automaton running the show now.

Only Young Harrison Ford can save us.
