We may not know for sure, but I doubt even a clown like Woody would be considering Schott unless he thought that it was really Mangini who had been screwing up the playcalling and offense.

Well, if we think about it from a logical standpoint, it would make the pieces fall into place over the whole "We've been thinking about this for a while" thing.

It could be a case where someone like Schottenheimer was going into Tannenbaum's office and saying "Look, I know Eric's your friend and all, but he's a total douche to work for."

But who knows? I doubt we'll ever get the real story. For the truth to leak out would mark whoever leaked it as totally unprofessional, and I doubt anyone wants to screw up their career for the chance at a little revenge.

 

God, I hope the Ravens lose so we can interview Ryan already.
