Talented and Adrian Jones should not be used in the same sentence.

There is no way I want him on my starting OL.. regardless of position.

Did he dump your sister or something? Go back and look at game tape of him at LT. He was the least of our worries. Goodwin, Fabini, and Kendall (in that order) were getting their asses handed to them. Jones and Moore at least tried to stand their ground in an impossible situation.

I think we should trade someone for another 1st rounder in 2007...then draft 2 more offensive linemen in the first round.(Sarcasm)

This year's draft was great and made alot of sense though...

It wouldn't hurt to sign a guard in next offseason or even draft one or two more offensive linemen in the later rounds of the draft.

Honestly...Not to single your comment out, but Kendall is not holing his own. I for one have noticed it in the pre-season games. Especially in the Tampa Bay game. Also, by Mangini's actions, he's also noticed it. Thats why he had another player (Jones) subbing at LG. I wasn't even addressing last season, when I said Kendall is (was) being abused....I am talking about this pre-season. What works for me is to tape the game. Then I watch it over & over & single out whatever area I choose to focus on. Like if I want to watch O-line play, I'll just watch where the pressure & penetration is consistently coming thru the O-line. I'm sure the coaches do the same thing. ANyway, the tapes don't line. And yes, the Jets' O-line did look better against the Redskins, but when the real games begin....teams will pressure the Jets' on there weak spots...where they have already been exposed.

I will watch the redskins game today just to see what all the fuss is about. I didn't know he was playing poorly, but I'll see for myself later. Maybe he is running out of gas just like Mawae.

I've seen him play LT and RT.. I've seen road pilons control traffic better. He's awful. All 3 of the guys you mention I would prefer (for equal cost) to Jones.

I'm sorry, but Jones was not good last year.

You must have been watching different games, or one or two plays have you biased. Jones sucked at RT, but played very well for the most part at LT. I guess we'll just agree to disagree.

Kendall was much worse in the Tampa Bay game.

Trust me, we watched the same games.. How you saw what you saw is beyond me though.

I don't want a guy playing out of position who couldn't even play his position(LT) last season well when my QB is fragile.

Adrian Jones plays LG only if Kendall gets cut, which is a real possibility.

Having Mawae start mouthing off about veteran Jets not buying into Mangini's plan is a red flag on Kendall in my opinion. There's nobody else on that o-line that played more than a couple of seasons with Mawae and Jones is on very shaky ground to be talking about the new coach. Kendall got chucked out of Arizona for being a disruptive influence in the clubhouse. Put 2 and 2 together and things are looking kinda unsettled for him again now.

Jets | Mangini says A. Jones has not yet lost starting job
    Wed, 23 Aug 2006 05:45:54 -0700

Mark Cannizzaro, of the New York Post, reports despite the fact New York Jets OT Adrian Jones has played with the second team a bit of late, he hasn't necessarily lost his starting right tackle job, according to head coach Eric Mangini. Mangini said Jones playing several different positions has nothing to do with whether he'll start or not.

 no matter which one of them told it like it is, i'll give him full credit for exposing the chad myth. calling him an egg back there was perfectly correct.

  16. Not to call you out..but when was the last time you posted something that did not contain a reference to "Noodle arm"?

This was a pretty far fetched thread, regarding the development of an offensive lineman..and you STILL managed to mention it!

it affects the way the line has to play when you have an egg at qb. notice how bolly and clemmins do much better behind the same line this year, and bolly did last year.:shit:

too bad the cult is so blind that they can't see the forest because the trees get in the way.

I could see Jones used situationally at LG against teams like the Pats that run a mainly 3-4 and rush LBs and safeties a lot, but not on a regular basis.

Aw c'mon, Kurt. Recently, mr nojokeyet has answered the call for versatility switching from 'noodle arm' to 'egg'. He's doing the best he can. I applaud him for his valiant effort.

  20. Perhaps he should combine the 2. Egg noodles are a great side dish!
