Which contrasts with everything else I've read today from Schefter. Jets apparently for the moment have no interest in trading up, only back. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter RT @SethK66: So other teams aren't interested in trading? ... No. All are. But these teams have made a confirmed telephone call or calls. 2h Adam Schefter Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Teams open to trading back for the right offer include Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Miami, Seattle, Dallas, NY Jets, Detroit. 2h Adam Schefter Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Teams open to trading up if right player is there include Jacksonville, Buffalo, Philadelphia, San Diego, New England, Green Bay.
Just pick who you want to believe depending on who you want them to draft. Unless they can move up to the top 5 or 6, it doesn't seem to make much sense to move up talentwise.
I agree. Outside of Richardson, I just can't envision us wanting to trade up, when the two positions that would interest us the most have multiple players available at #16
Sorry. I disagree with this. That argument can go both ways. Playing among the best group can also suggest that a player is benefiting from their surrounding cast. Contrastly, isn't there something to be said for a player who dominates his competition despite the average surrounding cast around him?
ARE WE MOVING UP to get trent richardson?? just saw on sportscenter EDIT: forget it, it was just what eric mangini suggested us to do
I was just looking on ESPN and they projected Kalil as #6 best available. If he doesn't go top 5 we should at least make an attempt. Trading up higher than 6 is not worth the cost, and Kalil is pretty much the only OTs in the draft that you could start on day one. I'd really like this move, but then we're left without a pass rusher, and have to rely more on luck with whatever picks we have left. I do feel that offense is more important than defense this off season.
Nope, not moving up for Richardson, CLE just did that. Kinda disappointed, not gonna lie. I really like the kid's attitude and high motor (and strength!). Hope we get Upshaw now. Another kid with a great attitude and he's a beast.
I agree we need pass rushers, but if the opportunity was there, no way in hell would I ever hesitate to get Kalil. Wayne Hunter is the single worst tackle (starting or backup) in the NFL.
We are looking good for our Dline... Also trading down is looking good bcuz we will have options later on during the round...
I... I... have no fucking idea what to feel atm... Reiff, Ingram, Mercilus, Upshaw... and we go with ******* Coples?! Can we PLEASE get players who's just plug-n-play in their natural position? Tanny better've traded up SOON and grab some of the picks still available. Atm I just gotta find a bucket.
