For starters Barron at FS would blow away anything the Jets are about to play there... Next - Landry is a ####'ng time bomb and IMO is this years Kris Jenkins that we can't rely THAT much on.... Barron can rotate between Leonard and Landry and learn a lot from both while filling in at both spots.. and here's the kicker - Landry is GONE NEXT YEAR!!!!! We will again be faced with zero starters at Safety. To me Barron is a lock - he'll be a real good saftey for a long while - is he Ed Reed - LOL no one is - But, he's more than solid and fills a HUGE hole.
Chandler Jones is my official "Dewayne Robertson" pick of this draft... the one guy that will leave be with a bitter taste if he's picked at 16! trade way down and get Jones AND another pick and I'm all ears. usually when I say stuff like this predraft, the NY Fucking Jets turn around TRADE UP and then get the guy I didn't want - See Dewayne and see Sanchez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want Barron, Mercilus or Hightower in that order. Wouldn't mind us going defense in the 1st 3 picks to be honest. My ideal (yet realistic) draft would be trading down and getting Hightower, getting Branch in the 2nd and Trumaine Johnson or Markell Martin in the 3rd. Or Barron, Branch and Mychal Kendricks or Bruce Irvin in the 3rd
Unless Richardson falls to us, I want Mark Barron. We need a free safety and he's the best available. Our secondary would be deadly.
Michael Floyd -> Riley Reiff -> Mark Barron -> Chandler Jones -> Melvin Ingram -> Courtney Upshaw I know nothing about college football but for some reason I just don't like Upshaw. What is good about him any one know?
I wouldnt be suprised if we take Barron instead, Rex's defense is based off of superb coverage not the pass rush. Cant wait.
Coples is probably definitely out of the top 10 at this point and falling, falling lower. Despite the character concerns, his talent level is worth the risk and the first round should almost always be about BPA, with only a short look at need. If not, I'm on the Hightower train.
The Jets need an RT and there isn't one in the draft worth spending pick 16 on. Decastro to replace Moore is ideal in a few years. Slaw has lots to go - its only his 3rd season as a starter and he's played well - considering his injury during the season. Depth can be had later. Losing Turner was a mistake. Jets need to trade back, and grab a PR. That should be the most pressing concern. A stout PR to work with Maybin with the Jets Lock down secondary (barring safety) is a nightmare for opposing QBs.
I got a nasty outside linebacker (fucking beast) or nasty Defensive End or Nasty middle line backer or nasty nose tackle. Make our defensive front solid so our DB's can have a field day. Got to get more pressure on QB now and forever. After we secure the defense we need a RT, RB (although I think Tebow is going to run the football well here. Kid plays like a champion on every down ((should be exciting)). Finally, a WR with heart and physical prowess.
IDK who the Jets will take, but I'll make a bold prediction: Majority of people on here will praise the draft picks regardless of position/who they are/what those same people thought before the draft. All players will be lauded as good value for their rounds and will be the story of mini camps/training camps on TGG. (until year 2/3 anyway when it will run thin on them)
Notice the bills didn't love him until yesterday...keep in mind anything you have heard the past week or so is most likely mis information at this point.
Bills GM ol' Buddy is too old and stupid to smokescreen and gives away his pick every year. They'll probably go with Gilmore or Barron.
