22 years old means he's a Grown Man, not some snot nosed Kid fresh out of HS. He should know better and if he doesn't, he's in for some really hard lessons in his NFL life. Geno handled the press quite well with his answer that he EXPECTS to be in the top 5. Huge difference. Here's a question for you, why is it that the most talented person on the defense has managed somehow to avoid all these traps and land mines the NY Media sets everyday? I mean, why set a trap for Milliner when you can try to trap Wilkerson. Why is it that Wilkerson lets his play do the talking? What does Wilkerson know that others seem to miss??
Well after reading the full quote by Milliner it actually isn't even that bad. But whatever, you have your mind made up. Just seems silly to me to get all up in arms like you're getting over his comments. But we'll just agree to disagree.
I'm just gonna watch the "Best CB in the NFL" over the first 13 weeks and see how he survives his trial by fire. That goes for the best D in the NFL too. Maybe he really is THE BEST CB in the league. Maybe the Jet D is the BEST DEFENSE in the league. We'll sure as hell know by week 14 won't we..
Who cares about the comments - there's no backfire technically if they talk. If they suck during the season the talk will be much louder from the fans / media. Doesn't matter if they talk or not.
Rex is the catalyst. It all comes from him, too bad it doesn't translate to the whole team. Balance needs to be his mantra.
This is the ny media making something out of nothing. Not many people read the entire quote and are just going off of the title. Who gives a shit. He's a competitor. He isn't going to concede to anyone.
I know everything doesn't come back to the Patriots, but I love the way they talk to the media during camp and the season. Listen to their interviews this time of year. No matter who it is, it goes like this; "We have a long way to go, we have to work hard every day, every day we try to get better. We're nowhere near where we need to be." It's not the players jobs to give reporters quotes, they should be 100% football. Plus, IMO if you think you're the best or if you're constantly told you're the best, you don't work as hard, even if it's just 2% less, that can make the difference between winning and losing.
haha, I'm sure you would have wanted pete to be our HC a few years ago when he left USC. We have one of the best coaches in the sport, you clearly aren't a Jet fan.
so you think that is why they win? not b/c they have the best QB of this generation? how much winning has belichick done w/o Brady?
Really? I don't think we heard this much the last couple years. Probably 2011. Besides that, Rex was a talking a lot in vague terms and the players weren't too loud.
I am a Jet fan , just not a delusional Jet fan. We have a moron at the HC spot. The only reason you like him is for the affection he had for your boy Sanchez.
we have too many fans that can't think for themselves, they see flashy headlines and believe them w/o actually reading.
we have moronic "fans", we have one of the best HCs in the game. "fans" like you deserve Kotite, Coslet, Groh, etc...
Your logic makes sense. Ever since people started giving Brady MVPs and All Pro nominations, he hasn't won a SB. People consistently pick the Pats to be a SB team and win but it's been a decade. All that listening to the media has been the 2% that held Pats back from duplicating their past SB success.
