Cromartie isn't coming back. Rex has made a statement wishing him and his family the best and that he was one of the best athletes he's ever coached. Not a sign of him being brought back. I really wished they would have made an attempt to restructure his deal and keep him. I'm still holding out hope he is re signed. I know he had a bad year last year, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he played through injury. Cromartie Imo is allot better than people give him credit for. Not worth 10 mill. But he's better than allot of guys if he's healthy
Byrd is a FS, and yeah I recognize that doesn't answer the question you posed. I suspect Allen is the leading candidate to be the Jet's SS moving forward right now but I don't know how the Jets view their options right now.
