I just saw a guy at Disney this past weekend with that jersey and hat. Awful.

junc, I agree, the Kotite era lighter green were awful, but maybe it was just the teams that make me hate it looking back.

The Denver throwbacks remind me of the putrid new Steelers unis....

I love that the one picture appears to have been taken in the bathroom.

When you gotta go you gotta go.

Steelers got new uniforms? They've had the same ones since I can remember.

I think it's some new throwback for them.

EDIT: Yeah, they are a 1934 throwback

Also, I think the Jets are like 5-1 in the Titans uniforms. Maybe they bring a little luck? If so, I'm all for it.

I like the helmet, they made it to look like the old leather helmets(as close as they could w/ a modern helmet).

  13. There was a really sharp jersey floating around the fan stands at TC that was primarily black in color but plenty of green & no doubt the Jets. It had an NFL emblem on the collar, the typical jersey stitching & players names on the back.

They weren't selling them at the team store & I can't seem to find a pic online but I asked one of the managers at the team store about it & he said they haven't officially come out yet but that the Jets will likely wear them acouple times this year including possibly opening week.

That would be awful. I don't care how good it looks, we don't need an alternate jersey.

I want to say Week 3 of 2009 vs Tennessee we beat them at home in the Titans unis, in the rain, Sanchez diving head first for a TD. I remember the crowd broke out their yellow rain gear and actually matched the team colors for a while.

yes, we were in throwbacks that day so 5-2 overall(3-1 in blue)

  17. 10 maybe even 5 years ago I would've agreed with you. But this Rex style of Jets football both on & off the field does have a different swagger about it. The Jets have flirted with black within their official clothing line..and black certainly fits this team's persona. I loved the look & everyone around me at camp seemed to as well. Plus, historically we've seen teams be sparked by a "new look". This would be used 3 times a year at most.

It didn't help Buffalo last year. I don't like it, the black jerseys in practice are fine, I want to see gren and white unless they are using the throwbacks.

i actually prefer most of the jerseys from end of the AFL era.
When teams try to go modern, its usually for the worst.

Buffalo, NE, SD, Denver (orange and light blue), Houston Oilers, Raiders.....all had it right in the beginning.

The NYJ is basically the same, although they had a kelly green instead of the darker green, and grey face masks instead of dark green in Namath's day. I'd love to see that as throwback, although it would only be a subtle change.

The 80's uniforms didn't do it for me, and brings back some bad memories.
I wouldn't mind it for nostalgia i guess.

Buffalo definitely made a change for the better, by going back to their throwback look. Their previous 'modern' unis were just terrible.

But i do agree, throwback is better than alternate.
