He sounds like a classy hard working guy, however in the ESPN draft magazine they had him rated as an under achiever. I wonder why.....

hmm. . .very interesting news. Thanks for the info! Although I don't see him getting to much work early besides ST later on I hope he ends up as good as you advertise.

Pros: Has a quick burst through the hole and the speed to go the distance from anywhere on the field. At times, he flourished in in Seminoles’ offense when healthy, providing big plays as a runner, returner and receiver. He has a strong, compact frame and the speed and the quickness to be a playmaker at the next level. He gets to the second level easily with the ability to bounce outside to break a long gain.
Cons: Was expected to be one of the premier runners in the ACC over the past few seasons, but nagging injuries limited his ability to be an every-down back. Whether he has the power and toughness to pound inside consistently as a pro feature back remains to be seen.
Numbers: As a senior, he played in 11 games with nine starts and rushed for 430 yards on 97 carries and 3 TDs for a fine 4.4 yards-per-carry average. He also caught 25 passes for 279 yards and 1 TD, displaying fine receiving skills. He missed two midseason games because of an ankle injury. At the Combine, he ran a 4.43 in the 40 with 17 reps in lifting, a 32.5-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot, 9-inch broad jump. He impressed in the agility drills.

Very little news about Leon around here so far.... I mean, Dontrelle Moore was cut, and that got nothing more than a mere mention when it happened.

I'm no pro scout, but I do think I have an eye for players, as a rank amatuer. I go to training camp practices often, as do some others at this site. I'll add my 2 cents on what I see at camp. I was about the first person on the Ben Graham bandwagon last year! Of course, TC is TC.... last year, Jolley showed the best hands on the team.... and then fell on his face when the season started.

I think Leon will battle with Blaylock for playing time as a 3rd down and COP RB. Just seeing who's getting snaps with the starters will indicate where this CS sees Washington on the depth chart.

Apart from Graham , nearly everyone had a horrble year. Do you think Jolley will improve? I remember your reports on TC

I am still hopeful Jolley can be a force on this offense. Little Schottenhiemer knows how dangerous an offensive weapon a pass catching TE can be. No, I'm not comparing Jolley to Gates in SD, but I do think Jolley was not used correctly last year. Sure, it was only one game, but he showed what he's capable off against Miami last year. Based on game by game matchups, I think Jolley can do some damage.

I think that unlike Edwards' tenure, this new CS will try to use players to take advantage of what they do best. Baker will be the starter, but Jolley can hurt you, given the right game plan and mismatches. I don't think he'll be a weekly offensive weapon, but I think he has 4 or 5 games like that Miami one in him this year.

But, like I said, this will be an exciting TC. New coaches, a lot of new players, and a bunch of hold-overs that this CS will have to evaluate.
