http://www.theganggreen.com/news/677/ theres a link at the bottom of the article. pics are working for me.
np great pictures too, very high quality and of alot of stuff. i tell ya petro this site continues to impress me!!
Petrozza, the pictures are terrific. I really appreciate that smile on Nick's face. End of practice is a thrill....!
Gholston wasn't carted off, however he did see the trainers and it looked like his ankle was being wrapped. According to Nugent, Gholston may have twisted or sprained his ankle.
Also, not that my report can compare to petrozza's, but here are a few things i note... The O-line looked dirty today. When they were going 11 on 11s, Clemmens, who was playing with the first team, wasnt pressure once. The runningbacks were also able to find holes regularly. Leon, TJ, and Musa were all able to break big runs before being touched down. Also, Leon broke a huge screen pass for a big gain. Clemmens looked god awful. None of the QBs looked good really, but Clemmens stood out as the worst. He was overthrowing targets all day. Pennington was up and down. He had a few bad throws, but flashed his brilliance a few times, including a deep pass to Wallace Wright for a TD. Ratliff actually looked pretty good when he was just throwing to his WR targets, however when 11 on 11s started, he looked very uncomfortable in the pocket. Ainge has a lot of potential i think. He certainly won't start this year, or probably next, but if Clemmens still hasnt claimed the job, dont be surprised if Ainge is the future. The WRs were pretty shaky all day. Coles had a few nice grabs, but in the two minute drill he let a ball deflect off his hands and fall right into barrets for an easy pick. Cotch didn't do much. Stuckey was running as the third wideout all day. He's real quick, and ran a good reverse. However, on a crossing route, a ball was thrown right into his chest and he couldn't hang on. Smith ran a nice route and caught a TD from i believe pennington but im not sure. Bubba Franks is sure handed. He runs crisp routes and never drops a ball. He was a good pickup. Keller also looked good. He caught a bunch of mid range passes. Abram Elam was on him for much of the day, which was a total mismatch. On one play, Gholston was on Keller. Gholston deflected the pass away. On defense, the dline looked a little shaky, however I did not see Pouha out there at all, and Jenkins sat out from most of the plays. I actually noticed Brian Thomas making a few good plays. Gholston didn't really stand out at all. He certainly looked fast and incredibly athletic, but he didn't do much on the field today. David Bowens made a few nice plays. Revis and Rhodes are money. They almost never get beat. However, the 2nd cornerback spot is going to be a bigger problem than I thought. Miller was beat a number of times today. Barrett was running with the first team much of the time, and he looked like he always days-incredibly mediocre. Lowery looked okay, certainly still raw. And a side note, say what you want about his arm, but Chad Pennington is the nicest guy in the world. After practice he was signing autographs for almost an hour--the rest of the field was empty. He was cracking jokes, taking pictures with whoever wanted, and just the nicest man ive ever met. Overall, another fun day at Hofstra
good stuff penny10..nice to hear Gholston swatting that ball away from keller...cause that part of his game is what most people worry about the most
Awesome pics petro...thanks, and good report by P10J. Sounds like we have the makings of a mediocre team.
Nah dude, I never give up. I got high aspirations for this team. High aspirations and low expectations are the markings of a true Jet fan.
Didn't get thrown out for being a 'pro' this time the huh? Cheers Petro and all the other TC contributors
Oh they allow any cams to Hosftra, as long as it's not video Back from the second practice (I left earlier)... not much happened there but I'll write something up within an hour or so. Gotta get ready for Cotto vs. Margarito
