I actually think their defense is very underrated. Its young so hasn't reached its full potential but there are many nice pieces in place there. Could end up being a surprisingly good d. Sent from my HTC6990LVW using Tapatalk
When does Brady ever miss a game? The guy never takes time off so it's not surprising that after an offseason of rest, getting kicked doesn't slow him down. I'm no Brady fan and I detest the Pats, but we have to be realistic. Brady's the man until his play proves otherwise. And now, even though he clearly has the WORST offensive personnel in the division BY FAR, he's still going to light it up.
The Patriots don't have the worst offensive personnel in the division, and definitely not by far. Aside from being inexperienced at WR, they are very solid and talented at every offensive positional group. One of the best OLs in the league last year with all starters returning... best TE in the league with solid depth behind him... a talented and versatile RB corps with a proven young workhorse back...... what am I missing? Even the WR have a ton of potential and have looked good so far according to all reports, although everyone expects some bumps early on as everyone gets acclimated.
I would have to agree. To say WORST offensive personnel BY FAR in the division alone is a huge stretch given that even if NE was strapped personnel-wise, a division that features no other offensive powerhouses doesn't render the perennial division leader the "worst by far" in pretty much any category on either side of the ball.
Don't waste your time. That one is either a Dolphins fans or a Bills fans. I'd guess fish, although you'd have to wonder why anyone on the planet other than some d-bag Bills fan would consider their offense something other than a doorstop. I've seen enough posts from that account to know that it pretends to be a Jets fan but is far from it. And I pretty much agree with your post, although the only reason those WR have that potential is taking snaps from the shotgun.
Here are their players: Danny Amendizzle A. Dobson Kembrell Thompkins And Zach Sudfeild at TE Daniel Fells as backup Stevan Ridley at RB Shane Vereen at RB Who has worse personnel than this? And yes, I know they have Gronk but I'm not counting him because he won't be available until somewhere between weeks 6-8. So who has worse talent than this as a unit?
I'd say they are short at WR, but they match up more than favorably at TE and RB than any other team in the division.
Thanks for filling in the rest of the spots. I think RB is the only place they compete. Their TEs are all career backups. CJ Spiller is the best RB in the division by far. If Mike Goodson ever resurfaced the Jets would have a competitive RB corps and Lamar Miller/Daniel Thomas is decent. So it's not like the Patsies are killing it at RB even with their edge.
Even if you think the TEs are career backups, where in the division is the TE position much stronger?
I would take Keller over those guys. The Bills and Jet TEs are equal to the Pats. BTW - Brady so far at the end of the first quarter. 11/12, 107 Yds and a touch. So much for the injury, distractions and "circus". Dude is slicing and dicing.
Yeah but you did say worst in the AFC East BY FAR. THAT is what I was contending. To think that NE is worse than Buffalo or the Jets BY FAR? No way. Barring injury, watch Amendola rack up 100 catches this year. And any discussion of offensive personnel has to include QB and Brady's in a class by himself.
That personnel is better than the Jets at TE and RB, about equal at WR, Better than the Bills at TE, close at WR and RB Better than the Dolphins at TE, RB also the big missing part..... They have one of the best O-lines in football, and one of the best QBs.
