    Thanks for the input...

Yes, the 2010 and 2011 Jets were awesome teams ...

and there is no arguement that the Defense Rex had in place with players like SEllis Pouha D Harris Calvin Pace B

Scott Cromartie/Revis Poole and Leonard were dominant on the field..hands down better than than the players we are fielding now...

Offensively those teams had that other USC QB Sanchez who played one year in college and then had a miracle run here with Rex...in a redo would you want Sanchez again??? Ahahah He had LTomlinson to hand off to and D Keller, Braylon "watch me do a back flip before the champ game" Edwards and Santonio Holmes

In 2010 the Jets almost ran the table at 11-5 ..the OL was a bit stronger and had Mangold Ferguson and
    Devito

My take is predraft and preseason we are a couple of picks always from being as good if not better than 2009 2010...we hopefully will get a dominant D player Williams Bosa or Allen

Those teams never had an all world threat like Bell or a potential superstar like Darnold. So Iam replacing Sancho and best Jet guy Tomlinson.

Gun to my head , I would take R Anderson, Q Enunwa , J Crowder over Holmes and Edwards and newly minted Herndon slight edge over Keller

Oh ..and of course I wants Gates over toe man Rex and Shitty Shoty

In a way we are talking apples and oranges because your point is well taken 2010 2011 were proven winners and this squad has to jell on the field not on the blackboard

As far as the CS goes ..yes I actually want to look at Gates over 32 games sample (2 years). FTMR B Marshall is no comparison to Lev Bell..my hope is given the $ we dumped on him we get lots of TDs in return

The Johnsons suck as Owners...And I go back as far as Champ ...but where I differ is I am willing to say even the Losers can finally get lucky

The Jets are 1-2 years away from being better than the 2009-2010 team. The big difference currently is the dominant OL from those days. The Jets need to revamp LT, C, and potentially the right side by the end of next offseason . A dominant pass rusher in addition to the OL revamp will put this team ahead of the 2009-10 version.

Per my original statement..I only expect 10 wins ....I mentioned nothing about going 2 or 3 rounds in the Playoffs culminating in a Championship game..my goodness heheh.

All I did say is we look pretty good on paper >>right now

    maybe
we are better than 09 and 10 if Mac >>>> gets a Pass Rusher and some OL help before the start of the Season,,then we can manage 10 wins imo.

You are right ..the OL has been sorely neglected and if we draft well going forward it can be real good ..but with a few plug ins now this one wont be bad

Someone replied there was a better team from the past...... that's all.

Frankly, I am sick and tired of hearing "the Jets are such and such years away " from contending, a winning season or challenging the Patriots.

I don't see why we cant mimic the success of the Rams or the Bears and have our FQB take the next step up with our own 2nd year QB.

    The future is now.

I'm disappointed you don't see our 'hugely' improved team winning 12 games.

Talk to me after the Draft and Pre Season is over ..ahahahaha

Lets put it this way..if we are not a lot better overall than the mess Bowles left us with something is completely amiss and our GM and Owner have wasted the entire Off season

So I read the first post and then I immediately said to myself " where is Champ when we need him " --> started scrolling thru these posts and here he is the voice of reason. I was not very good at math but what is 3 weeks x 50 years anyways ? lol

Yeah I know what you wrote. And I realize somebody else replied there was a better team from the past. I was just adding my 2 cents.

As of now the Jets have a few too many holes to mimic the Bears or Rams in 2019. The Jets have their FQB in place but the OL is a work in progress and won’t be completed until next year. I would rather this rebuild finish properly and the Jets can be in perennial contenders than the 2009-10 short window .

I’m not saying the Jets can’t win in 2019. I think they will complete for a WC. They may even win a playoff game. I expect a lot more beginning the following year ....and we’re all sick of the cheating Patriots. Their demise is close.....very close.

You are half right. Smart billionaires don't get caught with their pants down getting a tug from an Asian sex slave. If Bob Kraft sets the ceiling for brains, the floor isn't much lower.

    So much to say but...
Rt now Our Oline is weak, and Deck and BMarshall were legit 1, and 2 WRs. CB's need to step up, and we still need a pass rusher.

We are work in progress rt now, with a favorable schedule.
