You can say whatever you want to me, I'm not going to do anything as a mod about it. I already know I'm a douchebag, it's in my blood.
Link? I know you have a fondness for that sort of statement, without providing any basis for it. I have my reasons for being skeptical.
I just want to know why all these reporters, and posters alike, have claimed Edwards should have the book thrown at him? I thought this was Amerika? Wasn't it innocent until proven guilty? B.E. is only guilty in the court of public opinion. He's done something wrong but hasn't been proven guilty yet. Until then he plays. On a side note.... From the "police" standpoint, I put a few calls out. The departments I have "contacts" in claim they all stopped using the standard breathalyzer test because it was far too inaccurate. How about that - a test that can be wrong.... They are now using a device called the Alcotest 7110 by Drager. Its totally accurate and is 5-9's fool proof. Not susceptible to alcohol vapor like the old testing units. If NYPD are still using the old unit, then there's a good chance B.E. may get out of this.
Probable cause after the stop--smell of alcohol. I'm just saying unless Braylon suffers from the same inadequacies as The Great American, he will be able to get the DUI dropped to Reckless Driving with a fine. Only a person as mentally impaired as The Great American would be unable to do so.
Bob will warn him to duck down. I don't get why Bob warns his victims to duck, wouldn't he want to catch them by surprise while standing?
Wide receiver Braylon Edwards just caught a big break -- TMZ has learned the NY Jets star won't face a possible probation violation for several months ... maybe until after the season. Edwards' DWI arrest in NYC this week could also get him in big trouble back in Cleveland where he's on probation for a nightclub fight -- but sources in Cleveland Municipal Court tell us the judge will not take action until after the DWI case is complete. According to the source, the judge doesn't want to compromise the DWI case -- and Edwards isn't due back in court for that until November 9. We're told the judge will inevitably drag Edwards back to Cleveland for a probation violation hearing -- no matter what happens with the DWI -- and jail time is a real possibility ... but if the DWI case drags Braylon could be in the clear 'til the off-season.
If any of us had gotten arrested for DWI we would have been able to delay our case until the off season. Not surprising that Braylon's lawyers will be able to do the same thing.
Of course, still having that hanging over his head won't help his attempts to get a contract this offseason.
Unless he goes to the Pro-Bowl but I cannot see that happening once Holmes gets on the field. I cannot wait for Santonio to play.
