Cablevision says it will only broadcast the Bowl games and not show the rest of NFLN programming. Instead of getting the NFLN fans will get to see 2 crappy, meaningless bowl games and nothing else.

I get to watch the NFL games on the NFLN as I subscribe to DirecTV so do not lump everyone into your situation

We get it Champ, you have Direct TV and get NFLN, Congratulations!!!! I don't think anyone outside of yourself would think I was talking about those that get NFLN through DTV.

It doesn't matter, this thread is about he CABLE companies that do not carry NFLN. No one is confusing it w/ those Cable and satellite companies that DO carry NFLN.

You know that NFLN has a web site set up that they advertise called "iwantNFLnetwork.com" that you can send a message to & they forwarded it to your cable company. Be careful I may not have the site name exactly correct

They had something similar for YES when Cablevision didn't carry it and the feud still lasted an entire season. If the cable bill rose 75 cents a month for a new baking channel I don't think anyone would switch from cable to satellite. But Cablevision maintains they don't want to raise prices for a channel not everyone is going to watch, meanwhile one of the main reason's people go to a dish is to get more football games. Just don't make sense.

The cable bill will go up regardless of whether people get new channels or not. The Dolans and all of these other cable operators are crooks- especially the dolans. basically Cablevision customers paid for larry Brown and the Jets not getting the WSS.

Cablevision is bull, if they just cut out the hundreds of special interest channels that nobody watches anyway, the NFL network would easily fit in, but they feel they can make more money by putting NFL Network on another tier. Remember this is the same company that put out all that propoganda against our stadium, because they felt threatened by competition. When Cablevision says something is unfair to them, they just mean they can't keep ass raping customers if something changed.

Actually Time Warner contention is the NFLN brings them NOTHING besides the live games they are broadcasting. TW says the rest of the NFLN progra mming is just old & rehashed news that has already been discloosed which is the reason they want to make NFLN a premium channel which means only those that want it will pay for it. TW contends why should all there subscribers have to pay be for what only a few will watch day to day. Certainly when there is a live game to be aired all who want to see it can goto someone house that has DirecTV or Dish Newtwork or a sports bar since most bars have subscribed to DirecTV

Maybe I am missing your point, but isn't the bolded statement above the same for most channels on cable. I know I'm not watching the Spanish or shopping channels, yet I'm still paying for them. Just because I would watch NFLN doesn't mean I should pay more. Remove some of the things that I don't watch if they want. The best scenario for cable would be if you could do everything ala carte. Pick the channels you like and just pay for them. Won't work though because they would lose money....

Probably but just giving you TW spin as to why they have not come to no agreement with the NFLN. Here is a link from a bit ago before the NFLN live broadcasts began. Austin is about 200 miles from Dallas so naturally it has many Boy fans. I do not know naturally if this is the same spin TW is saying in other areas where they are the cable carrier.
