I'd say you've been "stopped" 7 times this year. It doesn't matter if you run for 500 yards in the game, if you don't win. Say what you will about your defense, your offense, revis, your running game, etc. That fact is, the Jets lost 7 times this year... to lesser teams than the Chargers... so stop acting like it's such a stretch to imagine it could happen again... in the playoffs... at an away game...
Way to twist the argument to try and make it seem like you're right. Your point seemed to be a stacked box would force us to pass and put pressure on Sanchez that he can't handle. My response was that we will still run effectively and Sanchez handled the pressure just fine last week against a better defense in what I can only assume will be similar in terms of the environment (pressure). Does it matter if we run the ball well and lose? No. Obviously the point is to win. Will a stacked box stop our running game? Not likely. Can Sanchez handle the pressure? He did great last week.
Au contraire mon frere! I think this will resemble a lot like what happened in week 2 between the Chargers and the Ravens. And I don't just say it because Ryan came from Balt. I say it cause the Jets "D" can bring the same intensity that the Ravens brought that game with similar personnel. Only Bart Scott is not Ray Lewis who won that game single handedly at the end. But I can see the Jets up against it in the same fashion with little time left. While Rivers is a great passer weather he is moving or not he does make mistakes on the move that can cost them like any other QB. 2.5 seconds or less all day long to throw and the height of the Chargers receivers may be nullified enough to where the Jets can go plus in the turnover category. Revis is on a roll and they are hitting viciously causing fumbles. Rivers no doubt will get his but in that Ravens in week 2 he went 25/45, 436 YDS, 2 TD, 2 INT and lost! $.02 back at ya....
why not? last I checked Norv Turner has proven to be a pretty good coach in SD and has a very good 4-2 playoff record. the Norv Turner criticism simply isn't anymore empirically accurate than saying Belichik is a shitty coach by only pointing to his record with the Browns and ignoring his current success.
The Saints beat the Jets. The Pats were one and one. The Colts, when the starters were playing, also had the Jets beat. The Jets have many reason to make the Chargers nervous, but your 1-3 record against "these offenses" is not one of them.
the Jets held the Saints to 14 points -- please spin that as indicative on an inability to stop them. The Colts did not have the Jets beat, they had only 15 points and a slim lead -- huge difference between the two. whenever you want to start dealing in logic and reality and not reducing it to partial facts that support your flawed argument, we are all here to take you seriously. but first you have to take yourself and your argument seriously, which your ridiculous analysis above reveals you may not.
