If you think the only problem with this team was the QB you are going to be pretty dissapointed in the coming weeks. QB was a problem but far from the only problem.
Yeah, yesterday was the same old story... The OLine didn't give Chad enough time to throw. Oh. Wait. Well, the running game wasn't moving the ball. Oh. Wait. Well, if the defense hadn't given up 32 points we wouldn't have lost. Oh. Wait. All excuses were removed yesterday, and Chad still did little enough to assure we lost. People need to wake up. We're better than our record. Our QB has just totally shit the bed all year. If I'm wrong, we won't win at least 3 more this year. I'm pretty sure, and even more confident, that I'm not.
I've said it beofre, Woody is a "hands off" owner. Mangini stays unless Woody cans Tann as well. I don't see either one after this season.
You are wrong - we are not better than our record We Will not Win 3 more this year , Id be really surprised if we win more than once more this season.
Oh I see, you're basing the whole season on one week in which the D finally showed up to play. We are 1-6 because our Qb has been terrible, our D has been terrible and our OL,they are improving but still terrible. Our new Qb is not gonna all of a sudden make this a good football team. More exciting yes, good no.
Yea that may be the single worst call I can remember Mangini making. He's made other questionable calls at times, but due to the teams record and the D's preformance to this point in the season, and it was kind of a no brainer that you go for it on 4th there.
Yes he can, will and should. He knew he had a bunch of popular vets within the org that weren't going to live up to the job, and he's using this year as that time. Sink or swim. He'll be back.
When we're looking at the defensive effort yesterday can we keep it in perspective please? The Bills had scored 5 offensive TD's in 6 games coming in. I think the defense put together a fairly coherent effort for the first time in awhile, but we can't lose sight of the fact that the Bills are one of the absolute worst offensive teams in the NFL.
He will survive. He wasn't supposes to win his 1st year remember. The last draft and the next one plus FA is really what can make him or break him. He totally botched his 1st draft(Billichicken disciple please.) The pats #1 thing year after year is the OL and DL, stockpiling talent and finding the hidden ones. Lets face it, he blew the draft. He gets a do-over next time but do you really have time in the NFL for a do-over? (no OT,G,WR,RB,QB?) We needed these positions just to suvive a 8-8 season. He blows this next draft and he should be fired and made to give back some of that money. He was hired to build this team, that he hasn't done.
Which 3? I can't find 3 wins in here no matter who the QB is. I figure Washington, Pitt, and KC will run the ball all day long. Dallas, NE and Cleveland will pass all day long. Which only leaves Miami and Tennessee as possible wins the way I see it. Washington Pittsburgh Dallas Miami Cleveland New England Tennessee Kansas City
The schedule is really ugly down the stretch. The Jets usually win a game they shouldn't and usually split with the Dolphins so I'll take Kansas City at the end of the season FTW. Oops, that's two and fourteen. Ok, throw in a win against Cleveland to make up for the loss they hung on us last year when we were headed to the playoffs and they were a last place doggie.
Teams we clearly have the ability to beat: Washington, Miami, Cleveland, Tennessee, Kansas City Teams we have a chance to beat: Pittsburg, New England I'm a real Jets fan.
Riggghhhhtt.... Harris had 17 tackles yesterday. Revis has looked good. Thomas Jones, For moving down in the second round? Leon Washington...... Mangold Ferguson Clemens Brad Smith Oh, and BTW the team was 25 mil OVER the cap when he got the job... Sure, the GM is on the hotseat........ :rofl2:
Darn right he will stay. I cannot agree with every decision that the coaches have made but this was NOT going to win the super bowl this year with these players. We need more Horsepower in key areas and that comes from the draft and FA. The big picture here is the more we lose the more leverage we have at draft time to pick hopefully a multitude of players in the first 2 rounds, then go from there.
Harris looks like the clear winner in that group if yesterday is any indication. That 25 million over lasted about 10 minutes as the cap went up 17 million in '06.
Remember this............. During Kotite's 1-15 debacle we were leading at half time in SEVEN of those games. Doesn't mean he should have kept his job.
Ok...So he was still +8 Mil. And Harris may have been the best player YESTERDAY. But everyone of the players I listed, has been a significant factor in upgrading this roster.
