I was actually at this game, it was in Miami and it was throwback weekend in 1994...the Jets were beaten pretty soundly
That was 1991, we lost 6-3 to NE in our home finale but luckily Miami lost at SD and even at 7-78 we had a chance to win the next wek and make the playoffs which we did. 1994 at Miami, I think it was a 14-14 game at one point but we lost 28-14.
I was wondering about the Byrd picture, how do you know it was the '91 game and not the '90 game - it was played around the same time of year... The 1994 game was a 28-14 loss but the Jets were pretty much dominated -it was pretty stinkin' hot (Sept game) and they just wilted, it was 28-7 until a late score.......
what uni is that??? is that a throw back...i saw my madden team come out in that one game and was like wtf????
That is the Uni's we wore during the 90's. We had very similar ones in the 80's exept they were white trim and not black
The NFL logo on the collar, the 1st year they had those was 1991 and in byrd's last home game vs. NE it was a night game in 1992 so it had to be '91. We were actually down 28-7, after it was 14-0 we scored to make it 14-7 but never got any closer. we tacked on a late TD.
The # I think gives it away although I think this might be a trick but I'll say Brad Baxter. It looks the '93 game against Cincy where we wore the thrwobacks and honored the '68 Champs.
A couple of reasons I didn't think Hayes- the first is he looks too big and secondly the Uni is a little different.
those shiny green unis....i got to say...are terrible...if i was on the opposition team, id be laughing all over the field....the team could not have looked intimidating in those...seriously...glad i came along with the current get up now...at least it looks like a football team and not something out on the town back at studio 54 in the 70's LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Mostly nyjunc--I'm telling you, he's Rain Man. I shouldn't have questioned him, that guy was too thick to be Chris Hayes. I'm just impressed I remembered Chris Hayes. And yes, those 1990-97 uniforms were horrible, looking back. No wonder we never won shit.
