And why is that exactly? Sorry, I try to actually discuss things on a discussion forum, unless you have a crystal ball I don't know about.

And seriously? You'd draft a WR early in the draft? Not safety? or a Pass rusher? or O-line?....but a WR?

    Really?

    that's what you're going with?

There is a reason Braylon was not brought back to the Jets. Obviously they were not happy with the DWI's he got in the previous season. There were also rumors that he was a team diva and a lockeroom cancer. Take it for whatever its worth. I said WR in the early rounds. Do you know what the early rounds are? Rounds 1-3. There are no good safetys to garner any early round grade. There are so many good Pass rushers and decent o lineman in the draft. The jets will probably sign a free agent Olineman. So what is another weakness on the Jets? OH well what do you know? WR! Plax is 34 and even if we resign him it is important to draft a WR to groom him for the future. Do you get me now?

If anything, we're going free agency on the Safety and then drafting O-line via draft (or maybe both), I still don't see how drafting a WR is better than signing a WR who is already proven, and has chemistry with Sanchez.

Yes, he has a lot of off the field issues, but I'd still rather take my chance on him than a rookie WR, also considering we already have kerley and Turner. Neither you nor I know what's going on with the Jets FO and their mindset towards Braylon. Chances are Braylon was being greedy (between that us saving cap room for that pointless chase for Asmougha) and wanted a big contract a la Holmes and when he wasn't offered it, he bailed like Brad Smith did. And he was a locker room cancer? -- I'm not trying to be a dick here, just clearing up the facts -- but is there any links to back up that fact? I've never heard of that.

Either way, I'd still prefer him over a rookie WR in the draft.

    offseason:

    Draft:
    pass rusher
    pass rusher
    pass rusher
    Pass rusher
    Right tackle
    Guard
    C/G

    Safety through FA

A decent pass rush helps the DB's. No pass rush hurts DB's.

The whole team played well in the Pats game. It was one of those things where execution was having its day. I do recall, but THIS year Pool has not played well overall.

I agree with the bolded part, but if an all round LB who is an excellent pass rusher becomes available, I think the Jets might make that move even with Maybin's progress. Otherwise both the moves you list will likely occur as the primary moves in those respective approaches.

Regarding the situation at wideout, Turner I think has been quietly making real progress, and was on the field several times against Washington where earlier in the year it would have been Kerley (or of course Mason). Interesting. If both Turner and Kerley show progress the rest of the season, the Jets might end up standing pat at wideout.

Draft: OLB & Receiver... there are a lot available in this draft

Also, would it be so bad to bring Plaxico back?
Remember Robert Turner is coming back next year @ Tackle

Maybe we could get a back through FA

agreed on a Safety. I want the Jets to make a trade for Maurice Jones-Drew but the chances of that happening are zero.
