Assuming the Jets lose to SD (which kills me - that's one of the teams I hate in the NFL), it sets up a very rough day for Smith before the hometown fans, up against a Denver team that looks at least as good as last year's.

    A very rough day.

Geno is getting the full year...If we are out of it by November then that is when you will see Vick.

The regime wants to go down through the tubes...Can we draft a threat on offense or defense? More so offense?

They are going to prove something, and it won't look pretty. Rex will prove he is sucks as a coach and Geno will prove he is not the answer at QB. The Jets will be 1-6 and lucky if they are 2-8 come the bye-week. I just hope Woody sticks to his word and fires Rex when we finixh with 8 or more loses. Rex is over hyped and proved he can coach a group of great/good players, but he can't raise the bar on average players. He inherritted a good team six years ago and tuned it into shit. The only down part is our shitty GM won't be sent packing with him. We need a football guy for a GM, no more of these bean counter!

You must be smoking some good stuff, no way we go west to SD or up to NE and win. Our secondary will be toasted by Peyton!

No way to I want to see another of these running shitty QBs drafted by the Jets. Give me a pocket QB who is accurate and knows how to read a defense. Look to Oregon or Oregon State.

If we somehow did beat San Diego, with Vick, the amount of hype for Denver would be unreal. Id actually be pumped to play them, but we have to win next week or this is going to continue to spiral out of control.

From everything Rex, MM, and the players have said to the media over the past two weeks, I get this impression as well. However, it just doesn't make any sense. What is the point of starting Vick once the season is lost? We KNOW he isn't the long term solution, anyway. If you are going to start Vick, you do it now, while the Jets are still technically (barely) alive. Once the season is lost, then you might as well stick with Geno and see if you can get him to play consistently well for a large stretch of time. This would all be true regardless of who the head coach was, but is even more irrefutable considering Rex's need to win NOW due to self preservation.

You can't argue that Green Bay, Chicago and Detroit are not better than the Jets. They are. Same goes for San Diego, Denver and New England. So in a 6 game stretch, the Jets play 6 rosters that are better than the Jets are. Does the best team win every NFL game? No. In fact, every game is a toss-up these days. Just have to have a good game plan and execute well, without making mistakes. Well, all the Jets do is make mistakes and misfire while trying to execute plays. It is a mess. That goes on Rex Ryan. John Idzik has already given him an average roster at best to work with. So now he has to put these guys in the best position to win. He doesn't do that. Doesn't adjust either. It is difficult to watch. Look for the Jets to drop to (1-6) by the end of this 6 game stretch. Then, when you look back at all 6 games, you will see the different plays or moves that could have been made, to make that record (4-3) at worst.

I'm not sure about Chicago. They are in our league. It's 50-50. I personally think if the refs don't interrupt the Davis fumble return, we probably win that game.

Reall? No shit! We play him between those two teams. If that is the best material you have, you should just be quiet.

Agreed 100% wholeheartedly. Bryce Petty, Baylor. My choice, even if we have the First overall choice in the draft.

San Diego playing really good football right now, and i don't like the cross country road trip. i don't think we win, and might even get blown out.
Denver will be real tough to beat.
NE i like our chances the most, but of course its a Thursday night game on road.

we'll be lucky to win one. season over as soon as it begun.
i guess the rest of the year will be just to watch and see which of the young guys progress (if any).. sux.

if we go 2-6, but end up beating the Patriots in Foxboro, i would take some solace in that tho..
lol beating divisional teams is the only silver lining i can find (short of Geno becoming a real QB)..

Marcus Mariota is not just a pure pocket passer.
