We had an easier time against Cincy than NE did against detroit but NE is getting praise for pulling away late and we are getting bashed for the game never really being in doubt most of the 2nd half.
The what if's never work both ways though What if the refs get those two INT's correct in the Packers game? Do we win that game? What if the Ravens don't have the officials gift wrap a running into the kicker? The jets win 9-6
or what if they make the proper calls against den? we don't need that last minute TD what if they don't take away 15 secs after sanchez scored to make it 20-17? we don't need det to throw that incompletion. what if if our K doesn't miss3 FGs(inclduing a 24 yarder?)? we don't go to OT.
From now on we'll consult everyone to make sure the game plan is right and they don't score any points other than sanchez TD passes.
Cimini's post-game breakdowns are a bit like what Zimmerman did before his stroke on CNNSI.com......Cimini's isn't as detailed, but it's more than what Zimmerman gave his readers for Sports Illustrated or The Post 40 years ago.
Last couple we caught a few lucky breaks...this week, not so much. Earned it fair and square. Cimini is a douche...here's a stick in his eye.
Cimini is also a alarm ringing SOJ loving loser who does what he can for viewership instead of reporting things at face value. He's a snake and he sucks.
Amazing that they call returning a ball on special teams and a good run - lucky...how about the Jets know how to execute in all phases of the game? Solid coaching, strong execution, and you get results. Allowing 52 total yards to the Bengals in the second half was luck? Sometimes luck is actually just perfect execution...do they need to play more consistent for 4 quarters..yes..but can you discount the times they function perfectly because of the times they don't?
So you want AP-ish, NY Times-ish sports summaries instead of what we get from the NYDN and The Post ? Sorry, I want the NY beat writers and columnists to show emotion in their reporting.
So the steelers must be lucky after scraping past the worst team in the league in overtime as well then.
yes, that's luck. They should have lost that game, but Steve Johnson drops the TD. The Jets have not had that kind of extreme accident by an opponent in any close game they played.
I read that if Orton held the snap, Lowery was going to get him on the blitz anyway. They weren't going to score a TD to win the game.
Yes, a bad snap on 3rd and 6 on the 44, down 4 points with 42 seconds left is exactly the same as dropping a wide open game winning TD pass in overtime. Good job.
i love how everyone acts as if having multiple people with the ability to step in when it matters or take over a game is a bad thing. yes weve only played two complete games of football (BUF, NE) but any real championship team finds a way to win games regardless of the statlines. would like to see the defense close out games better, other than that the offense just needs some more consistency. both easier said than done but theyll find a way to figure it all out soon or they will pay for it this monday. one way or the other this games gonna be crazy
the stuckey fumble in OT might compare. he goes OOB they probably kick a FG there. that being said, the steelers are good, not lucky. they willed that ball out of johnson's hands.
The Stuckey fumble was a result of a Jet player making a great play. If he just dropped it and Cro picks it up, then it's lucky
