No, Denver is actually a really good choice. In MIA or NYJ he has to go through NE and Brady and in ARZ he goes through SF. In Denver, a team that just won the division with a 8-8 record, he could win the division easier than in most other places. Obviously all the teams change after the draft, but right now Peyton in Denver is most certain place where I can say he will win the division.
ridiculous. Broncos with Manning instantly become a 13 win team. that defense was pretty good until they spent most of the games on the field from continuous 3 and outs and wore down. we talk about the pressure our D was in by our offense, that doesn't even compare to what the Broncos D had to play under. The Broncos are clearly the best option, and would be a better team with Manning than the Jets likely would be.
Let the sour grapes begin. Maybe Peyton isn't as delusional as you are about the state of the Jets. Not that this is a hard thing to do.
Well right now our offense isn't exactly going to seduce any QB to want to come and play here it looks like an absolute wreck. But next year when we've addressed RT and WR once and for all there will be plenty of potential there. Aside from the fact that making the move for Peyton would've been the height of stupidity for this franchise at the moment, that's the other problem here. The timing just isn't right at all. If this happened next year and for some reason you felt like Sanchez just isn't the guy then I'd say hell yeah lets rock and roll. Just isn't the case here.
1st, SD still has more talent, they just had a down year. And the Raiders are not awful. That team has no wr's, a mediocre o-line, and mediocre hb's. They won because of a gimmick offense and Tebow magic. But they were the opposite of the Jets (who should have been an 11 win team, but won 8 - they should have been a 5 win team and won 8). Defensively, they dont have that much talent either. It's not a great situation at all. And if the goal is to certainly win the division, then he should go to Tenn or Houston.
Huh? I get criticized for being honest about the qb and saying he is a steaming pile of crap, because people say I am too negative. But when I say this team has 11+ win talent, that is being held back by the steaming pile of crap at qb, I am accused of being too optimistic. I am one of the few people being honest about this team. Not pretending we suck, but that our qb is a soon-to-be living legend..
Peyton won't want to play Brady twice in a season for the next 3-4 years (baring he doesn't get hurt on a sack) because he chokes vs the Pats. Always has. He's beaten them once in the AFCCG the year they went to the Super Bowl vs the Bears. Brady has been his biggest road block. That's why I think he goes out west. I'd like to see him go to AZ.
Looks like we are stuck with the deep 6. Guess it isn't so bad. All we have to do is surround him with pro bowl players at every position and we may see that elusive Super Bowl.
Cimni is a joke and i don't belive a word he says, he doesn't have the sources he claims to have, he reports things that other people report first he never breaks any new storys he is a loser
Very true....keep holding the hope out!!! Peyton Manning coming to a Meadowlands near you...more than twice next year. ya heard?
they've had a "down year" two years in a row. that's not an isolated season of mediocrity, that's a repeated pattern of performance indicative of their overall ability.
I believe this. The jets can't keep anything a secret so in sure we would have heard more by now if there was real interest and it makes sense manning would not want to go to the two teams involved that would put him and his brother under direct competition. Manning would not string teams along he is not going to and as a fan I am grateful for that. Let's hope he doesnt land in Miami.
It's not over till the fat lady sings... All these rumors won't matter till he makes his decision. Every team is trying to have a sit down with the man .
good now we can actually make moves to fix the needs of the teams. we need a passrusher (mario williams?) we need a safety, a new oline man to take hunters spot, a wide reciever to stretch the field (laurant robinson?) and a blocking tight end. the fact that the jets were in the "sweepstakes" shows how much faith they have in sanchez. if you wanna tell me "you have to go after a hall of fame qb when he is available" fine, but there are other younf qbs that teams wont be giving up on because peyton is available (st louis, detroit)
