give me Bush or Vernon Davis. I watched film of D'Brick. He doesn't look that quick, he looks strong but his run blocking doesn't look exceptional.

At least it won't be new to us:grin:

I heard on NFL radio this morning that Denver is interested in Vernon Davis because there isn't a great wide receiver in the draft at least not on the same level as Davis. They said Denver might want to trade with the Jets to get in front of the 49er's. Would you guys want to go down that far 15,16?

If for whatever reason the Raiders trade with us, there is absolutely no risk for the Jets. Brick, Hawk, Ngata, Davis, Cutler, or even Justice will be there at #7.

That depends on the Jets' draft board. Which I have not seen.

This is obviously bull. Reese brings in Norman Chow to run a disciplined offense ala USC and then pairs him with Vince Young rather than Leinart?

He does make a good point that if the Jets draft a QB it should be one suited for the Meadowlands November winds and that means a strong armed QB, whether its Cutler, Young, Olsen or whomever as long as its not Leinart.

or maybe they just hired the best replacement for Dinger? maybe they feel having Chow will help Youngs game translate smoothly into the pro's. or maybe the GM wants to sell jersey's and tickets.

and they also brought Chow in when Volek seemed to be the Heir Appearant to McNair.

theres alot of things that need to be taken into consideration.

Its still Jeff Fishers team and his offense which is now tailored to Steve McNair. Which QB's game is most like McNairs?

If they wanted to continue running Jeff Fisher's offense, why hustle out and get Norman Chow? Besides, the quote said that Fisher wanted Leinart also.

Because you do get some new ideas from new blood.
A HC is in charge of the team and coordinators have to come up with what the HC wants.
Chow has ideas and a system that he has used but must tailor it to
    A) the players he has and
    B) the HC

Adding Young will keep the core system in tack. Adding Leinart will change the entire system for 1 person so every offensive player will have to learn a new offense.
Its much easier to teach the O to 1 person instead of 20+.
