To me it sounds as if the Raiders would ideally want to move to #3 or #2, but if they can't would settle on a deal with the Jets and take the 2nd QB. It sounds like Tangini is playing hardball and wants a contigency on the deal. i.e. the deal goes down, and if Ferguson is available at #7, we get their 3rd rounder; if Ferguson is not available, we get their 2nd rounder.

I think if the Raiders are hot for Leinart, they'll have to do a deal with the Saints not the Jets.

Bringing in the architect of USC's pro-style offense and its QB is a pretty crafty move for the Titans.

 

it would be a very good move if everything worked out and a pick in the second round for just about nothing
