Yeah, if and when any of those things happen. Have you seen the last few weeks? We have thrown deep a few times only to incomplete passes and interceptions.

Now I agree if you get a PI (Never really the plan when you throw deep) it works in our favor but when you hit a deep ball, the defense will remember the rest of the gameas well as the upcoming teams that will see it on film.

If the deep ball is NOT there, don't throw it. Check down and get some yardage.

This is going to be exciting! Watching Clowney score his first td on sunday. I can almost hear the play by play now. Favre loooking he throws a ball deep and has a man wide open.. It's David Clowney with the catch!.He's at the 30, the 20, the 10 TOUCHDOWN for David Clowney and the Meadowlands is in complete pandemonium!:metal:

Here's the thing. I've said it in another thread. Clowney has really good acceleration. He gets off the line of scrimmage fast, and that's about it. Watching all his plays from preseason, he always gets caught by DB's. On those 70 Yard Bombs from Ratliff, he had really good seperation from the DB's, yet still managed to get caught at the end of the play.

I wasn't wholly serious about the fly patterns. I was making a more general comment on how bad the long passing game has been in the last month.

    Stuckey

Even more important is to get Chansi more balls and move Cotchery to the # 3 receiver. He's not getting it done, we need more speed on the field.. and with Clowney in the 4 WR set, we might be able to go verticle.

Stuckey does need more receptions but cotchery move to 3rd WR?? Tell me you're joking.

Why is it so outrageous a thought to move Cotchery to #3? I don't think it is unreasonable to move either him or Coles to #3 with the way they are playing.

Agreed. Just because they're veterans doesn't guarantee them anything except another day to prove they can get the job done. I'd like to see the Jets run a few more formations and plays they haven't done yet as well. Looks like opposing DC's already have our plan figured out.

This guy could be like a September Call up from the minors. Comes in and starts producing right away. Just like Shane Spencer when he came up for the Yankees and cracked 10 Hr's in September.

We really need some WR speed. I have a great feeling about this kid.

HAHA Shane Spencer was the man. Never the same after he hurt his knee in the outfield though

Hell, if he can just get open 15 yards down field that would be better than most our receivers are doing now. I just hope he gets some mismatches against No. 3 or No. 4 CBs.

Stuckey is the same type of player as Cotchery and, contrary to popular belief, all three are doing fine where they are.

Hopefully Clowney helps break this deadlock the Jets have been in the past 2 weeks.

Then again, SoJ = Clowney burns receiver, Favre lofts a beauty straight down the center of the field, Clowney runs in almost perfect stride, extends arm for a beautiful catch reminiscent of Chrebet, then tangles his legs, hits his face in the turf and gets knocked out with a concussion.
