Thank God.. Now I feel GREAT about this trade.

Woody Page is from Denverand is a doddering old fool.

    Skip BAYless is CLUEless.

Is this what you are basing your typically rosy Jet outlook on?

    That figures.

Woody Paige, Skip Bayless AND now Steve Somers????????????????????

Why would you possibly listen to any of these 3 clowns unless you are looking for someone to rationalize your predetermined anti-Jet position?

32 first round picks..we have the 29th..and that's not in the first round?

I see you are a Financial Analyst..
    did you work at ENRON?

With that kind of logic I can't believe anyone would let you near their money.

and so he stays and disrupts the team's chemistry because deep down everyone knows he didn't want to be here. he only wanted his pay-day.

when someone blatantly says they're unsatisfied with the organization, why keep them around? If we gave Abe a contract, all of the sudden the Jets organziation is his best friend again? Nah, dude, I don't think so.

We were better off trading him and we're getting top 32 talent out of it... which accorinding to you isn't worth anything, which makes you very dumb.

    cheers

We will have a good pass rush

The pash rush in a 3-4 does not come from the ends it comes from the linebackers, Cbs and safeties primarily.

Abe was once of the most overrated players ever. Yes, he made big plays but that is all. At the end of 2004 when he went down our defense showed NO dropoff without him. It wasa then that I realized that he was not needed. Let's not forget that last year aside he is notoriously undurable, and has two substance abuse marks. Trading him was the best thing we could do.

Vilma was a compiler last year. He has a chance to be a great player but he needs DL help to get free. The failure to replace Jason Ferguson last year exposed Vilma's weakness. He made tons of plays as a rookie but didn't make a lot of great plays last year because he played behind a trio of speed bumps (Lagree, Reed and Pouha). Jets need a pass rush and an interior run stuffer to give Vilma a better opportunity to be dominating instead of being the compiler he was last year.

Abraham was HEARTLESS and didnt want to be here.

The guy got sick during a playoff game and actually sat, and the next year he was cleared by the doctors to play for two more playoff games and he selfishly and heartlessly chose not to play and you klnow how that ended.

Personally, I think that is a total disgrace and embarrassment that he sat for a playoff game.

Ronnie Lott amputated a digit on his finger so he COULD play in the playoffs and a guy like Abraham sits against the Raiders because of the flu. Dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Good riddance. I know we need someone to rush the passer, but we need someone with heart and balls...both of which Abe did not have.

And lets face it, Woody Paige is a clown.
