I saw it on ESPNNews and got up this late to go online and waive Domenic Rhodes for McCairens on my fantasy team and bench Coles. With Steve Smith still layed up, I was out of options  J-mac better step up

Edit: since some of us seem to think Coles will start Sunday, I waived McCairens for Amani Toomer. Amazing nobody already had Toomer, but stuff like that happens in a small league.

We can now move this thread to the fantasy section

I have to admit that 3 sacks on Brady is pretty good but the 7 on Culpepper were just ridiculous. You earned a few of them but he was just asking for it most of the time. He doesn't realize he isn't as fast as he once was.

As for the run game, any decent D should be able to stop our run game.

If Coles is hurting, particularly if it's muscular, I'd rather see him sit a week than have it become an ongoing issue.

Coles leads the NFL in receiving yards. Chad leads the NFL in throwing yards. Trust me. They will both play. Welcome to the new "injury report" era.

If Mangini is smart, he will spell Coles a bit with Smith. Coles will still see action, but it won't stress whatever is wrong too much and give him a chance to heal.

Excellent report. Didnt parcells put 20+ guys on the report every week?
Im sure Coles is nicked up but I have a feeling that this is part of the Mangini game.

I dont see much reason to worry. This just might be him taking a page from the Pats playbook.

Even if so I'm sure its just bruising, worst case scenario Smith sees some more time.

Even if Coles isn't a 100% he needs to be out there to draw attention, so Cotchery isn't double teamed

Is this the New England thing we're doing? Listing players who might be hurt?

Like, for instance, wasn't Tom Brady "probable" with a shoulder for 18 straight weeks at one point?

I listened to Mangini's press conference today and although he didn't say Coles would play, he sounded confident and remarked about Coles unbelievable toughness when on the field and when dealing with injuries. I can't see Coles not playing Sunday.

He also mentioned that there will most likely be progress for Coles as the game gets closer.

He finished the game last week, and now he questionable? So it either got worse as the week went on, or it's not bad enough to keep him out and Mangini is just BS'ing. We'll find out on Sunday I guess.

I agree that we need him. Even to just draw attention away from other receivers. Which is why I was disappointed to find out that it is a calf injury. He can only draw attention if he can run without further hurting himself.

We do indeed need Coles if we are going to have as an effective offense as we have been having. Though, Mangini is just taking a leaf out of Parcells' and Bellichecks' book, keeping him on questionable.
