I was in a hotel room in Oklahoma watching the game, and when Harbaugh scored in OT I shut the TV off in disgust. The next morning I woke up and SportCenter was showing the highlights, how he didn't get in and they brought everyone back on the field. My hopes were raised for a moment before I saw the highlight of them scoring again. Not only was it one of the worst losses ever, I experienced the agony of defeat again the next morning. I've always hated Tom Waddle after that.
Thats very funny. I was not living at home already at that time -- and called my dad the next day. Ill never forget the conversation. I asked him if he saw the game. He said, more or less, "look, we waste so much time with sports, that i cant do it any more. There is art, literature, family and so much more that the world has to offer -- that i cant spend my whole life in front of the tv watching grown men play with a ball." He paused and then said, "I was so so aggravated after that game I didnt sleep at all."
I was thinking of the 1989 Sunday night game at Indy. I remember a DB getting kicked out, pretty sure it was Humphrey.
