please the majority board was pegging Maroney as a System back. boy were they wrong..and too the few who actaully watch cfb and not read draft sites to make there opinons knew maroney was gonna be nice kudos.

    back to topic
There is no way Saints are letting Deuce go. him and bush compliment each other very well.

We need a FAT DT to stop the run . we need a road grader OG, and RB, a pass rusher

OK, I'm over stating the obvious.

I'm have mixed feelings over this. It might be a better move to just go looking in the draft rather than fight for a high profiled RB.

I was against this idea because of concerns for Deuce's health. Then I watched last night's game. I forgot what a powerful back he is. He would be a great fit on the Jets for the right price.

Yeah but don't let just one exciting playoff game sell you.

Yeah. Health is still a concern. Just like with Portis, it's hard to judge because I can't tell how much these guys are hurting.

With our picks we have the 25th in the first round and our second rounds picks are 37th overall and 53rd i believe. With our cap we are around 28 million dollars under it.

This is a good year to be looking for a Rb. Besides the fact most teams have there Rbs already, there is quality availabe. Whether it is through draft or trade we will get our RB of the future this offseason. I trust this FO to find the right one.

Not to mention it usually takes 2 full years to recover from a torn ACL and this entire season he played good despite not getting the entire workload.

Another offseason of strengthening that knee and will be closer to 100%.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints re-sign McAllister. He's proven that he is good running back over the years. He knows how to get to the outside and get that extra yardage.

I don't see the Jets getting him though. But hey, anything is possible.

    He signed a 7-year extension in 2005.

For a back like Bush, you need another back to acompany him in that backfield. He will never be a back that can take 300+ carries a year, but his touches in their gameplan are and will be more important than any other player in that offense.

Oh. I had no clue. Shows how much I know :|

... If that's the case, why do people think we have a shot at getting him? We'd have to pay a whole lot for him, and who knows how much he will have left in the future. We know he has proven himself over the seasons as being a good back, but I mean you never know what the future holds for an aging player.

They want to trade for him because they think New Orleans wants to pull a Ricky Williams with him.

there so many choices out there we just have to find that needle in the haystack and to me they usually come around the 5th or the 6th round that everybody said this type of guy will be okay in the nfl maybe 3-4 years and thas it and then he ends a hall of famer
