I would rather have Hakeem Nicks.

Are you going to attempt to insult me now?

Crabtree isn't as good as all of you stat watchers think.

    - Average height
    - Problems with drops
    - Lack of ideal speed
    - Questionable route runner

LOL...I guess all the pro scouts don't know what there talking about either? They say he STILL will be the 1st wr taken.

I think Nicks will be the best pro receiver out of this draft class. This is my opinion.

He's the most physical and he has the best hands. This is a fact.

Wasn't Charles Rodgers supposed to be one of the greatest receivers of all-time? That pick really worked out for the Lions. The scouts aren't always right...

physical is not a big deal when it comes to a WR..the best WR of all time was not "physical" (Jerry Rice)
what do you see that these scouts don't?

It's a different game now than the one Rice played in...

Anquan Boldin, Hines Ward, Terrell Owens, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, and Dwayne Bowe are all very physical receivers. It's part of the game.

Try to give me some names now...try your best. Remember it's 2 to 1.

    What I see in him:

I see Crabtree as a system wide receiver. His stats are incredibly pumped up because of that system.

Apparently, he had great size - but the combine weigh-in crushed those lies.

His hands are mediocre-at-best. I think it has more to do with his head than his hands. He loses focus...

His route running is also a huge question mark - he runs a lot of rounded out routes at Tech.

Crab also lacks ideal speed - combine that with his rounded-off routes and you're going to get a guy that finds it very hard to get open.

Stats do mean a lot, but they mean much less when you play in a pass-happy system like Mike Crabtree has. His stats are inflated.

    do you even watch football?

I'd kill to have a physical Wideout on the Jets roster....a Hines Ward, an Anquan Boldin....to name a few.

Big physical WRs get the job done today in the NFL. Years ago for those that can rememeber the Fred Belitnakof,Lance Allworth,Lynn Swann type smaller elusive guys got the job done. Today you need size, strength and speed to match up with the opposing teams bigger DBs.

I like CrabTree and hope he falls to us at 17 if not im ok with Kenny Britt in the 2nd round if he last that long.

IMO, when hearing Crabtree talk and the way he carries himself, he doesn't scream "football player" the way Maclin and Robiskie do... he always sounds nervous and scared too. It worries me.
