THE JETS LET MO WILK GO! HOLY SHIT! NEWS TO ME! If Cro was the "Best" or even "One of the Best" players we had last year, we should have been 0-16. Good grief......
But he didn't get a big contract, its about a 3 million dollar deal for one year. I'm not savvy with cap numbers and all that kind of stuff but I really don't think it would have hurt us financially at all, and gives us a bit of cushion. Now what happens if Milliner doesn't step up and Walls isn't really the guy? Or injuries? I'm sorry, I'm not an Idzik hater, but this just doesn't make sense. Our secondary is meek right now, I don't know how anyone could be comfortable with it as is. Who in the draft is going to step up and make an immediate impact?
It's clearly not our strongest defensive unit, but Milliner played man-to-man with the #1 receivers for the final 4 games last year already, the likes of Josh Gordon and Mike Wallace among others and won the battle. The front office genuinely believes he can be the guy to match up with the #1's based on that performance, and I guess we'll find out. I think Walls is going to be competing with a rookie for the starting spot, and we may be playing Lankster in the slot a little more as well so Wilson may be a little more flexible. We are used to having two top tier CBs but there's no reason we can't look for bargains and competition at that position as well.
Antonio is gonna do an interview on nfl network at 8 . Looking fwd to hearing what he as to say about the jets and not matching his offer.
Total nonsense. If Revis and Cro were part of the Jets' plans for 2013 and beyond, there is no way Milliner would have been picked.
