actually Curtis is nowhere near the return threat that Welker is, Curtis is probably a better skill set, but as a slot receiver they are of similar value, welker is more of a shifty possesion guy, curtis more of a deep threat and Welker is much more valuable than curtis in the special teams game

Not many players can be the return threat welker is, i mean 22 yds a KOR and 9 per PR is HOF quality:rofl: Welker is a BELOW AVERAGE return man. They could plug anyone in there and get the same production.

He's actually better than his numbers suggest, the Dolphins have terrible special teams all around, he gets terrible blocking, he isn't great, but he can do it fairly well, which is an asset.

it's easy to blame the blocking but welker doesn't have the breakaway speed to be a HR threat on PR & KRs. Not many other dolphins returned kicks the last efw years so it's hard to judge but a most that ahd a few returns had a higher average than he did. I think people overrate Welker b/c he did have a KR Td once but evebn w/ a KOR Td he still only averaged 23 yds a KO that year. NE had MUCh better return men on their roster. I know they won't want to use Mauroney since he'll now be starting but going from Mauroney to Welker is a BIg dropoff.
