That makes absolutely no sense and is completely illogical. YOU come on a public message board and continually post about this mysterious "ESPN analysis." In order for others to take what YOU say seriously and for YOUR claim to hold any merrit, YOU have to back up your claim and contention. ESPECIALLY since no one else has seen this analysis and can find no evidence of it. (Which according to you means everyone in the world was taking a nap but you)

When you post something on a message board, and claim it to be fact, it is YOUR responsiblity to back it up. Or do you think people will just take your word for it? It is no one's reponsibility to back up your claims but you. Otherwise you are just full of crap. You are like people I work with that want everyone else to do their work for them, which they later take all the credit for.

i still give Gallery the benefit of the doubt, because he was drafted by the raiders. They pretty much know how to ruin anyone's career.

It's ridiculous that anyone can argue D'Brickashaw Ferguson's results up to this point. He's been excellent. This coming from someone who hated the draft pick, not because it was a tackle, but because I didn't think D'Brickashaw would amount because he's way too lanky. The problem is, that after a couple of convincing victories, Jet fans expect 35-0 wins after every game with flawless performances from every player. He's a rookie tackle, playing one of the toughest positions in football. Anyone who has ever pass blocked will understand that it is the single toughest thing to do in football, outside reading a defense. If you lean two inches too much, a defender could blow right by you.

I think that the play calling was a big reason we lost the game.

I can be the first to say I wasn't all excited with the JETS picking D'Brick but so far this season he isn't the best rookie LT. Marcus McNeil the 6'8 340 pound rookie LT is having a better rookie year than D'Brick and is a black hole to pass-rushers. He was the more complete LT coming out but scouts loved D'Brick.

So far on the season, it's clear that Mr. Ferguson has to hit the buffet line and find some aggressiveness when it comes to the run game. This is his first year but come next year he has to get his weight up to about 310-315 pounds and be solid in the run game. My advice to him is to get Walter Jones's phone number and work out with him during the offseason pushing trucks.

Wow kudos for having some common sense which is not in very big supply on this board

On Mike & Mike Stink mentioned a rookie @ SD playing Bricks position named McGill who in his words is having a monster year better right now then Brick

D'Brick is just fine. Left tackle is an extremely tough position, entering the league. He's done a nice job. Throwing the guy under the bus after one sub-par game is lame.

I dont know if any of you guys saw this block but wow it was awesome.

It was a minnesota was blitzing on while we were passing, dbrick held the end with one hand and pushed the linebacker out of the play with the other.

I doubt I explained this properly but it was quite sick.

At the time of his injury a couple of weeks ago, Robert Gallery (#2 overall in '04) led the NFL in sacks allowed !!

D'Brick is looking better and better all the time.

Most rookies get to sit the bench and learn for at least part of their first year. Ferguson got thrown right in and is doing alright. Has he had ups and downs? Yea, obviously, but to expect perfection from the guy right out of the gate is absurd. I expect him to be miles better next year, with a full offseason to put on some poundage and develop as a run blocker.

As for Marcus McNeil, I liked him a lot coming out of college... had the Jets been able to take Mario Williams at 4, I wouldve been praying for McNeil with the later first round pick. But I think at this point, a comparison of the two is kinda pointless, for a number of reasons. First of all, my understanding is that McNeil went as low as he did largely because of injury risk, if I recall hes got a spinal condition that made a lot of teams question how long he would hold up. You simply cant draft a guy very high if you think he might break down after a year. Even late first round is possible, but at the top, the money that youd be owing to a guy who isnt even on the roster makes any sort of injury risk completely unacceptable. Ferguson was zero injury risk and a sure thing to be at least a solid starter, with the upside to be one of the best around, thats the definition of what you want out of a top ten pick. Second, McNeil gets to play with Tomlinson, which makes a pretty big difference in the dynamics of the game. When youve got a running game like the Chargers, not to mention an offense thats predicated more heavily on deep passing, your ends cant focus as much on shooting upfield, and you cant blitz as often. I think Ferguson walked into about as tough a situation as any rookie in the league. Hes protecting a quarterback who, while great in my opinion, doesnt present a huge big play threat, plus he doesnt have the benefit of a consistent running game to keep edge rushers from being aggressive every snap.

Ferguson is getting tested pretty hard this year. I think hes played fairly well, and I think that the best is definetely still to come for him. Add a big, reliable run blocking presence on the right side of the line, and either find a premier back or get leon and/or cedric to step up, and thats when Ferguson can take his game to the next level.

Where was he picked, who's he playing for, who'd he play for in college ?

D'Brick needs to put on closer to 25-30 pounds, and he came into the season at about 305.

Think having LT as a running back and Antonio Gates might have something to do with that ???

And how about the fact that McNeil hasn't blocked, Seymour twice, taylor twce, Schobel twice, Freeny and Mathis, the D tackles for the Jags, Alex Brown and many others? any rookie who can play these guys and only allow 8.5 sacks and 2 penitilies in 15 rookie starts is a great player in my opinion?
