lol..I mean come on. you bring 9 guys and all the guy had to do is get in the receivers face. I mean...you guys defending him....come on. He is the worst nickel to ever play the game...ever.

All he had to do was get on the receiver and it was a sack. I mean..the defense of this guy is almost comical a half decade later. I dont care if he was a first round pick in which we traded up to get him..

    CUT HIM..PLEASE CUT HIM.

Wilson is just an idiotic football player. Never turns his head around and then on an all out blitz, leaves way too much of a cushion for an easy TD....Bust of a draft pick

In all fairness, its not his fault that he was drafted in the first round. Tannenbaum was totally hit and miss on his high draft picks, either you got Revis or you got Gholston. Gholston looked like he wasn't willing to put forth the effort to be a good player - that's not wilson. I'm not a big fan of wilson by any stretch of the imagination, but he's at least a useful role player.

Jesus Christ...what does this mean? This is a typical Jet fan response...so he tries harder then Gholston and eats a spot on the roster? Has he ever made a special teams tackle? Kyle Wilson with K right? How is he useful?

He's an OK nickel back. Incidentally, he plays on special teams and I've since him make special teams tackles. He's a limited player - if he were a 5th round pick you wouldn't have your objections. It's not his fault that Tanny way overdrafted him. My point is that hating Gholston was fair and appropriate because he seemed like he didn't give a crap. That's not the case with Kyle Wilson. I think he gives everything he has - its just not that great. I'm not saying if a better nickel back comes along the jets shouldn't dump wilson - they absolutely should.

If you think he's eating a spot on the roster and not providing value, then who would you use a nickel back from the current roster? Lankster? The fact that Rex thinks he's the best option at nickel corner is good enough to me to believe he's the best person for the job on the current Jets roster.

agreed...Gholston was a pig...Wilson gives it all he has..but thats not much..or nothing. Yeah Er...he plays on special teams but isnt near a standout. An occasional tackle but that cant be the reason he is still on this team.

I agree...all of their options are poor...but yeah...I would give Lankster a shot..at least he gets burnt...makes a play...gets burnt...makes a play. Wilson? He gets a pass defended to his credit every 3 or 4 games. There was one play today when he turned to say something to the safety and the play had started and it was around 3 seconds before he realized his receiver was off to the races.

The guy is just bad...very bad...but I hear your point...its a position that this GM did nothing to secure in the offseason and there are not many options. Its going to kill this team.

an argument could be made that a second asshole could benefit some more then Wilson does the secondary...I havent figured out how yet...but it might bring something to the table.

He was targeted 4x in the Packers game and gave up 4 completions including a TD. Not 1 stop

So what's the over/under on total yards Holmes will have against Wilson this week. 20-40? 100 + TD? I'm looking forward to this match up.

Well there was that time he almost intercepted Big Ben in the AFC Championship game and instead the ball hit him in the face mask, he didn't make the play but he did make Football Foolies "The New York Jets addition, 5 decades of mediocrity and one day of sunshine"
