The only thing disturbing about this thread is your obesession with homosexuality rather than actual statistics or facts to explain your disdain for Jeter.

I need statistics to explain why you fantasize about Jeter? I think not.

If you wouldn't start gay threads, none of this would have come up.

not sure why that's relevant. should I humor you with a MrElectric answer?

he's a very good player, a key part of the yankee dynasty, and headed for the HOF along with A-Rod, Mariano, and others.

I am happy with your answer.

PS, I would never expect a MrElectric answer from you regarding baseball...unless you were high on crack or smoking bud with rogerblaze..

is it too late for the MrElectric answer?

Jeter is the most overrated player in baseball history, the Yankees would have won just as much with Rey Ordonez at shortstop, and he just gets credit only because he plays for the Yankees. If he played for the Royals he'd be just another average player.

You realize he is ahead of Pete Rose's pace to be the All-Time hit king?

Sorry I'm late...but to answer you - If Derek Jeter spent his entire career with the Royals, you wouldn't know who he was.

It's okay for you to finish what you have to say - I still think I'm right about Jeter. I didn't say he was a bad player, I just said the Yanks would be in the same place with or without him. Sure he's had some game winning hits, and he made a great play against the A's a while back, but I'm pretty sure 90% on MLB's starters have hit a game winner or made a game saving defensive play at least once. I think he's vastly overrated because he plays in New York. IF he began his career in Kansas City and played there forever, no one would care about him because they suck.

A-Rod got SOME attention when he played in Seattle, and a lot more when he signed that huge deal with the Rangers, but once he came to New York - he became a baseball god. I like Rodriguez, and I think A-Rod will probably end up being the best player of all time...until someone else comes along.

Hackett, you're killing me here.

No, actually I thought he was a career .216 hitter. Thank you for educating me.

He earned all of those...I said he was a great player, probably the best. I'm just saying he didn't get nearly as much publicity until he got to New York. I knew he had numerous awards. I've followed his career since he came into the league. He's always been dominant, but fans didn't really start to notice him until he became "A-Wod" when he signed with the Rangers. It was sort of a negative type of attention. New York puts the spot lot on all of it's players, and the media overhypes EVERYTHING.

One of the main reasons fans voted for him in Seattle for the All-Star game is because they saw him and how talented he was when they were watching the Mariners' games for Griffey Jr.
