I didn't watch the game live, so I had no idea what happened until they announced it on the radio broadcast. When I went home that night, I watched the replay on YES. Damon was hurt the entire time he was on the field. He was gimping around the outfield from early in the game. Every time he made a play, it was obvious he was uncomfortable moving on his legs. It was subtle enough that it would be unnoticeable on first view, but having the knowledge that he was going out made me pay attention. I had a feeling they would say it would be bad. He was hurt already, and he only aggravated it. I can just envision it now, Bernie sitting on the couch, eating potato chips, then dials the Yankee clubhouse. He tells Joe, "Hey coach, I'm ready if you need me!"
Just got a free ticket for the game tonight. I'm very excited. I can't wait.... Andy back in the Bronx!
Awesome man, have a great time. I just hope this weather changes a bit. Either way it's going to be cold, which I don't like for our pitchers.
It's been snowing all morning so far. The temp is going to stay in the 40s all day, and drop to the 30s at night. This weather sucks.
That reminds me of 98 and opening day in the snow. I froze my ass of but got tickets for Doc's no hitter.
I was waiting to see how long it would take someone to say that. And where the hell have you been? This forum has been up for almost a week, and this is the first I'm seeing of you here. You were watching the NCAAs on the DL weren't you? hmy:
Nah... just been completely swamped at work... leaving for vacation in South Carolina next week and I'm trying to get my office in order so I don't come back to a disaster
i would think mussina would be pitching considering he was scheduled to pitch yesterday until it was postponed. I would think that they would want to give pettitte's sore back as much rest as possible
Sucks for everybody. Have to worry about more muscle pulls tonight. Probably what caused Damon's the other day and that wasn't even all that cold.
sweet. I really wanna see how pettitte does in his return to New York. Only thing is that it is below freezing!
